Sheli Shem Tov, whose son Omer is being held captive by Hamas, shared that she had received testimony confirming that her son is keeping Shabbos while in captivity.
“I received testimony that he is keeping Shabbat there, remembers the Kiddush by heart, uses toilet paper on his head as a kippah, and when there was a power outage, he chose not to light a flashlight. I am proud of my son; they took his freedom, but they couldn’t take his Judaism,” Shem Tov said.
