  1. My guess is Schnall won't run again, and will be in a new position. He won't take the chance at suffering a loss.

    1. Schnall has about a zero percent chance of not getting reelected. Most people who voted for him last time (I wasn't one of them) will vote for him again. He won by enough of a margin that he can afford to lose plenty of votes.

  2. By regulating what insurance companies have to pay for - you basically have govt health insurance run by a private company...
How exactly do they decide a drug should be capped? Why isnt every med capped? Only people that need common drugs get the benefit of capped meds?

    2. Yes it's all politics. Its capped to the consumer, but the insurance company is still forced to pay the full price to the manufacturer. This just causes rates to go up.

    3. I wouldn’t worry about the insurance company.

    4. Insurance companies are already mandated how much profit they can make ACA - They will raise their rates to cover these new costs. You probably fulfill Maaser with your monthly insurance premiums covering everyone's meds etc.

  9. The price of home in Lakewood has shot up tremendously in past few years. The chief culprit has been the brokers who encourage the sellers to ask for more and then try to pit the buyers against one another in a bidding war. I've been there and have been a victim of these tactics when trying to buy a house.
