The company is under the hashgacha of known insect expert Harav Moshe Vaye shlita from E"Y and is carried in other Lakewood stores, they Magrov rebbe previously gave a hashgacha but the company has dropped it last year. The change was noted now as new bags have been printed for the products.
Sarmar Rebbe Rav Aaron and chassidim heading to Sighet the original Satmar in Romania
Rav Shaul Alter traveling to NY area communities today via Helicopter
Where is the concession announcement from the VAAD? They keep ignoring the oilam and now they are totally irrelevant. Time for someone to step up to the plate!
ReplyDeleteA little honesty here...
ReplyDeletePostiv wont sell to NPGS. NPGS did not stop selling Postiv.
Snd the sheker about change in hashgocho! Nothing changed at Postiv. It is still being run exactly the same. Under the guidance of Reb Moshe Vaye shlita, and under the supervision of Rabbi Goldstein.
Margov never dropped Postiv. Postiv dropped him because there was no need to have him on. He did nothing for them anyway.
what you wrote makes no sense. why would pos'tiv not sell to npgs?
DeleteThe Magrov is a very respected hechsher! He was running the Positive operation from the onset. There has to be some good reason why after 15 years they would suddenly decide that he's not needed.
DeleteMany rabbonim checked it out and say postiv is as good as ever (it is all politics as usual)
ReplyDeleteSighet is not the original Satmar. The Satmar Rov Reb Yoel Zatzal's brother and ancestors were Rabbonim there.
ReplyDeleteHASHEM IS IN CHARGE == ALL IS GREAT
ReplyDeleteNPGS need to get the act together and get back pride of the farm, and lettuce for the consumers....
ReplyDeleteI really doubt the veracity of the NPGS kashrus not being allowed into Postiv to inspect the kashrus .
ReplyDeleteThere is a very simple way for NPGS to see if the process is working just wash the Postiv lettuce and filter the water on a cheesecloth , if tolayim are present it`s not working and if there are no tolayim nothing has changed
Postiv knows this so they have noting to lose by letting in NPGS
It sounds like there is a bigger issue here
Does NPGS go into every product and check the hechsher? Isnt that the job of the rav hamachshir? Why is NPGS getting involved in this? Something just doesn't smell right
ReplyDeleteI don't know about anybody else here, but I confirmed with people who actually visited Postiv within the past two weeks. NOTHING CHANGED. (Besides them removing one name from the bag.)
ReplyDeleteAs someone wrote earlier, if NPGS would have a mumcha in tolaim, they woul;d be able to check the lettuce and try to find something. If they don't have an expert, why should Postiv give them a tour anyways. They don't know what they are looking for.
If somebody actually did find some imsect in Postiv, there would be vidoes an pics posted all over the place.
This is all politics and self-interest.
"Nothing has changed"?? On Positives new bags besides besides removing Rav Katz's hashgocha, they also took out any mention of what was until now Positive's modus operandi,"GREENHOUSE GROWN". Does anyone know why?
DeleteNot true. On the back top left, under the Best By date, it still says green house grown.
DeleteWow quick to judge. Without knowing any facts
ReplyDeleteCoop is leshem shmayim. And if they are not carrying it. There might be a problem
Why can't you understand that?
Why the attack on the coop?
Look who is quick to judge!
DeleteWhy do you assume we don't know the facts?!?
I did my research. You do yours.
Nothing changed by Postiv or Kosher Garden (same company). Reb Vaye was always the worldwide expert on tolaim and he still says it's good.
Reb Vaye told me Rabbi Goldstein is the biggest mumchah in the U.S., and he is still standing behind Postiv.
NPGS Mashgiach officially researched every product that is sold in the store. The issue with Positiv is not a kashrus issue because if kashrus was the issue, they can go buy a case from another store and check to see if there are any bugs in it. If the extent of them researching hashgocho was limited to seeing a heimishe hechsher on the product, then that in itself is an issue.
ReplyDeleteI know a mashgiach that was involved in a different product and they wouldnt carry it because they had a personal political issue with the one giving the hechsher. I hate to break it to you, they do play politics...
