  1. The posters going up today are very concerning. I didn't know a lot of the things they say about Jack Ciattarelli. It's concerning that these new self-appointed askanim pushing him are starting out pushing a deeply flawed candidate and lying about what he believes to us.

And I almost forgot about his noncommittal answer about UBCF back when he was interviewed for the Shopper in the summer. And I also noticed he hasn't spoken about it since - not in the Shopper, and not in the Voice. So why are they lying and saying he committed on the record to free him?

    1. It was recorded. That's how it's on the record. Did you read the Shopper this past weekend? All the details about his pledge to take care of OBCF is in there. Now go out there and VOTE like someone's life depends on it... because it does.

    2. He never said it on the record in this past week's shopper. It was just something the writer said he would do - the writer being the same self-appointed askan who is pushing his candidacy. If you can show me one recording or quote where he said what he will do, I'll admit I'm wrong.

He's certainly been here enough that there should be one video of him discussing it. I mean, he even promised to come back right after the election to play with the LBA. What a Yeshivaman!

    3. “Self appointed askanim”?? Which side are you referring to? They are all self appointed

    4. Who is the "self-appointed askanim" that are you referring to? The vaad?

    5. No, the Children running the Jack for Lakewood campaign

    6. In an unadvertised stop when Jack was in Lakewood, he met with the NJ Chaplains Association at their Park Avenue headquarters, and discussed all these issues on the record. Not every shred of the 'how' they got the pledge is written as many various groups and special interests read the Shopper, but the 'what' is all there for us to confidently vote for Jack.

  2. Neither of them could just free him and won’t. The vaad tells us who to vote for and the rule of thumb is to do the opposite.

    2. Jack didn't say he'd free him. He said he'll drop the appeal and let the original judge's ruling stand. That is a big win for R' OBCF. Murphy? ....crickets.

      Delete
    3. He never said that though. Only the Shopper claims he did. But there's not a single quote where he says he will.

    4. So many posters here have no idea of how the judicial system works. The appellate court already vacated the Judges lenient sentence and remanded it to a different judge for sentencing. At this point there is no going back. Not even the governor he msrlf can get the more lenient sentence reinstated. The only thing the governor can do is ossue a pardon, something that neither Murphy nor his opponent are likely to do.

    5. L'havdil of course, only the Torah says that the Torah was given at Har Sinai. There is no recording! How can we know it really happened? Hello?! The paper is basing it's reputation on what's written inside it. If they write trash and gibberish they will lose their advertisers. The Shopper is not The National Inquirer that reports about Elvis and Hitler ymach shmo being still alive and working at the local 7-11. If they say Jack said it, then he did. Anyone who doesn't believe it can cancel their delivery!

      Delete
    6. The Governor can commute the sentence to fit the terms of the original sentencing judge. That doesn't preclude Mr. Varitan from asking for a new trial based on the new discovery that a secretary made the entry, having nothing to do with R' OBCF at all. Even with a commuted sentence the slate can still be wiped clean.

    7. what reputation?

    8. Any moderators here????? Saying Lehavdil doesn’t help. This is deep lunacy. The Torah the shopper are you normal???

    9. I would love to cancel my delivery to that garbage. Unreal chutzpah they have to publish pictures of Jack in Yeshiva after the Roshei Yeshiva put out a machaa about it.

      Delete
    10. Rav Yeruchom Olshin did not sign that machaah letter
But if you are so concerned about kavod hatorah you should not look at the vaad website that published the pictures

    11. You can! The Cancel culture sure is hot these days.

    12. The machah was about bringing him in without permission. There was nothing about pictures in it. Hey, once you're in, you're in. Ya know what I mean?

    2. Jimmy's last name is Espisito, not Rodriguez. It's printed right there on the ballot.

  6. By voting with your convictions, you show ALL politicians, where you stand on the issues, and where they need to be to get your vote. Even if the polls are accurate, and they aren't, voting is about more than one specific candidate and election. Your vote is a message. Every future candidate, be it on the federal, state or local level, looks at how you vote previously. Show them you care, and show them your vote is not for sale. The only hope for future sensible candidates, is to vote against Murphy. Voting for Murphy will have negative implications for us across all layers of government.

Strange belief system. I find it hard to identify as the same species, let alone religion.

Last time he was here, he said a Shiur. Is the Yeshiva allowing inter-Chassidus politics to dictate its affairs?

    1. The true hidden voters in Lakewood are the choshuve nshei chayil. If the husbands can get them to go out to vote for the Republican candidate for Governor, then Jack will win hands down. It won't even be close. That's called an untapped voter resource in political language. It will be HUGE! Go vote Jack!

      Delete
    2. Um, that was very demeaning. The nsheo chayil have minds of their own, thank you.

    3. Look at the statistics. By and large Lakewood women are not party affiliated and almost across the board don't vote in Primaries (otherwise they'd automatically be part of a party), and their numbers in GE's are very low. Yes, they have minds of their own, but they generally don't use it for voting purposes. Just the facts. Now go vote!

      Delete
    4. What do they use their minds for? Asking for a friend.

      Delete
    5. When your friend gets married he'll intuitively understand. If not, his dear wife will give him a piece of her mind.
