- Speaking on radio station wcbs880 Gov Murphy praises the approach used in Lakewood to control the recent coronavirus outbreak with what he described as a "scalpel approach" and says that Newark, which is now experiencing an outbreak of their own, will use a similar playbook. "Lakewood had a flare up recently and we exercised a playbook there - more scalpel then sledgehammer - and it appears to have worked. So that is [increasing] testing, tracing, enforcement and working with the community." (Reporter Shlomo schorr @OneJerseySchorr)

We're going to see lots of comments from the hired liberal/antifa-supporting snuts. Much fun here on Hefkervelt
ReplyDeleteCould you link to any comment supporting antifa? I haven't seen any, and I follow this site religiously
DeleteANTIFA is the armed wing of the Democrat party.
DeleteThere's no proof that a decline or loss of antibodies allows reinfection. There have been 5 cases of reinfection in entire world.
ReplyDeleteThis is the way diseases and vaccines work. It takes a while for the body to integrate the disease (which is why it initially has antibodies). Once it has integrated the disease, it cannot become infected again. It also has no more need for antibodies.
Not true lkwd had many. The askanim said so and the drs
DeleteBut the authorities and scientists who track this don't know about them. So someone is not telling the whole truth.
DeleteWhen did the Askanim say so?
DeleteDoes anyone (on either side of this debate) have any recent sources to show that only 5 people worldwide were reinfected, or that many people were?
DeleteI know that six months ago experts had their fingers crossed, hoping that reinfection would not happen. And then one person was confirmed reinfected. But I think that was back in June, we are some months ahead now.
I myself know of more than 5 people who were reinfected. I believe that number is way outdated
DeleteThe British article, while informative, is not fully convincing. They did not test the same people over the period of time, and it also does not say anything about the middle swath of people, those that had symptoms but not severe ones.
ReplyDeleteI would not base a policy on that information, but rather wait for more information
Please! If you know anyone who didn't send in their ballot to do so as soon as possible! If you lost/threw out your ballot, you can vote in person on election day! Vote straight Republican column A!
ReplyDelete"Vote straight Republican column A!" or for whoever you want.
DeleteNo. Bchiros do not mean hefkeirus!
DeleteRight, no Hefkeirus. Vote Democrat!
Deletedont let schools test your children without you being present. also some places are making you sign a waiver that they are not liable and you won't have any rights to sue for damages. Be careful and dont sign anything.
ReplyDeleteI know of more than 5 cases of reinfection. One of which (Male upper 60's in Monsey) had it bad back in March. Tested positive for high level antibodies in the summer. Now he is in the hospital again on the highest level oxygen before they move to intubation.
ReplyDeleteInteresting how you know about it, but no reliable medical researcher knows about it.
DeleteIf there would have been a dangerous mutation going around, it would be well documented and well-known.
Does anyone know what scalpel approach was used un Lakewood. What is Murphy talking about. The virus hit lakewood Rish hashana time and lasted through sukkos.
ReplyDeleteThe askanim may have convinced him that they took care of it and got ut under control which would be q big lie and kefira too.
There is no scalpel approach.
ReplyDeleteThat’s a Lie ! And everyone knows it .
The virus burned through the community !
That’s what it will do to Newark .
That’s what it’s been doing to America !
The masks are stupid . Most maskers got it anyway .
( and masks cause Anxiety)
Stop Fighting the Inevitable!
Turn to God And Live your life !
I just came from a COVID levaya. So you, @11:20 AM, live your life while some will have to die their deaths because people are nebach too sensitive and might have anxiety when wearing masks.
DeleteStop trying to guilt trip everybody because you went to a "covid levayah". Its completely irrelevant to the dicussion. We know its a dangerous disease, that peope have R"L died from, the question is about masks and their effectiveness. Go be a demagouge somewhere elses.
DeleteRound and around we go.
DeleteMasks don't stop people getting infected, they stop people infecting others. Lots of masked people get sick, but at least they can say ידינו לא שפכו וגו'
@12:51, It doesn't matter if there is a "question" about the effectiveness of masks! Even if there might be a small chance that the danger is reduced, that's enough of a reason to wear them. IT's not so difficult. Just wear the mask! Is our community more sensitive to wearing masks or what? Or are some people trying to make a childish point that the government can't tell us what to do? It stands to reason that a physical barrier will protect to some degree, and any degree is worth a little discomfort.
Delete1:01
DeleteHow exactly does it work, do masks have a one way valve that lets the virus in but doesnt let it out?
Anon 1:48 - Let me explain this slowly, because some people are a little dense. So read it slowly.
DeleteWhen a person coughs, he spews stuff all over the place. If some of this stuff has a virus riding on it, anyone who comes in contact with that stuff, will be having a date with the virus too. But if he keeps most of the stuff near him, there will be a shiduch crisis between the virus and the people around him. So, when a person is in contact with an unmasked corona cougher, even if he is wearing a mask, his mouth and nose are surrounded by stuff. He may stop some of it with the mask, but it will be all around him. But if the corona cougher wears a mask, the stuff he spews will not go too far. So someone standing six feet away, will not be affected. Some stuff can still go through, but far less.
Theoretically, if masks were perfectly fitted, they would protect the wearer too.
In short, a person breathes in from a radius of 3 inches around him, but coughs out to a radius of six feet around him. Which is why wearing a mask protects others, but not the wearer
And this is why askanim are bullying the entire community into testing. The very fact that Murphy said this proves that this is what heis fed by the askanim who are doing the bidding for him.
ReplyDeleteThey keep pishing the same lie again and again that testing made the virus go away
So testing cures you when you are sick?
ReplyDeleteWe can stop with the vaccine research.
You guys are off the wall . We are not debating the issues here . we are debating the necessity of keeping the Mosdos open . Assuming the State is totally wrong like you say . The bottom line is that as you see in NY ,they have the power to shut us down even iof they are wrong . They were convinced by a few people not to shut us down and in return asked for SOME testing which we can control . So you can decide to play hardball with them because you think they are wrong and say NO to that request and see where it goes or you can agree and give them a little and keep the Mosdos open .

ReplyDeleteThe masks are causing massive Anxiety , especially in children and Young adults .
Watch carefully if your children start showing worrisome signs .
Please, masks aren't causing my children anxiety. It's hearing about all the Niftarim that's causing them anxiety.
DeleteMy kids cant stand wearing masks. And there's very few niftarim
DeleteBH my kids wear their masks b'simcha. I explain to them that as kids, even if they catch the virus it will not harm them but that the mask is important because Hashem wants us to care for other people and that helps make sure that other people don't catch the virus in case we have it. I tell them to remember every single time that they put it on that they are doing it because Hashem wants us to care about other people. They love wearing their masks. It is the farthest thing from anxiety inducing. It is simcha inducing.
