    1. The new anonymous robocall deserves to be treated like anything which someone is too embarrassed to put their name to.

The facts about testing were explained to the Rabbonim on the conference call with the Rosh Yeshiva and Harav Schachar. Them, and Harav Deutsch, put their names and hard earned reputations out there. Are we so dumb that we will fall for the מחרחרי ריב who just want to create מחלוקת?

    5. Then why is the government spending tens of billion on vaccines, if you can get reinfected in 3 months, vaccines are useless

    1. I think everyone should test. It's good to know where you are standing. I think BMG should have a huge tent with antibody testing on site for whoever wants.

    2. Upbeat

The more tests, the more cases.

The more cases, the greater chance we'll get shut down.

That means kids home for weeks on end, no shuls and many will lose parnassa

      So why test?

      Delete
    3. ANTIBODY TESTS! not covid tests!! If enough people have antibodies - that would be a reason NOT to shut down...

  6. It about time people start protecting OTHERS. For themselves everyone has excuses - real or not - but many OTHER people are getting sick for no good reason.
The "Excuse" people should not make decisions for the OTHERS that are now getting sick.

The owners designers builders and township members that approved evergreen plaza will surely forever be blessed for the traffic jam and lack of sidewalks.

  11. Irresponsible to bring communities here with no walking provisions . Brooklyn , Williamsburg, etc .. many are used to walking And or the women are not allowed to drive . Education and safety should be a priority . Education in regard to driving , dropping off And picking up on major roadsways such as route 9 Cedarbridge New Hampshire any where and everywhere, everywhere , everywhere ...
    Irresponsible and wreck less !

  12. To Varshever Haizer, Is that the only place in lakewood where there is a traffic jam?. The traffic in Lakewood increases exponentially every year. Getting from point A to point B this week has been torture all over. But the builders keep getting variances and other perks from the township. I guess being stuck in traffic doesn't bother people so much when their bank accounts are full.

  14. YW is reporting that the stolin karlin rebbe, known to be one of the most strictest rebbes in regard to adhering to health regulations, is currently hospitalized with covid issues

Which comes to show, that unless you COMPLETELY lock yourself up from the world, NO ONE is immune to covid. It doesnt matter how careful you are or whether or not you are wearing a mask.

If your internal system is susceptible to covid (a huge study in the works why men are more affected and women/kids less affected) and you mingle with people, you will get it regardless of how careful you are and wearing a mask will not help you and others wearing masks will not prevent you from getting it.

So everyone stop hounding us when we dont wear a mask. We are NOT rodfim.

Anyone who gets it has no one to blame but themselves. If you are out there among people, you will get it no matter what, and how it will affect you will depend on your immune system.

If you dont want to get it, stop pointing at me that I'm not wearing a mask AND LOCK YOURSELF INTO YOUR HOME

    1. Wow. It's exactly because of people like you who are so flippant with other people's lives that the Stoliner got Covid. He doesn't live in a vacuum. If you are not careful and don't wear a mask, you will get him sick, even if he tries to careful. We have to all be in this together. I don't know why that is so hard to comprehend for some people.

    2. 1:33

Cut the blame game. Making me feel guilty wont make me walk around all day with a clowm mask.

My point was precisely that - that the only absolute way to avoid covid is by living in a vacuum. I demonstrated that the Rebbe, known to be extremely careful, one of the first admorim to urge his chasidim to wear masks and be cautious and its well know how well the stoliners listen to their rebbe, and yet even he got it.

Therefore, anyone who chooses not to live in a vacuum and mingle with people, EVEN WITH PEOPLE WHO ARE CAREFUL, means they are willing to take the risk of getting it and stop blaming and pointing fingers at everyone else who are living normal life

      Delete
    3. I think the evidence of masks being helpful is dubious, but I have begun wearing one again myself when in public. For short term, walking in an d out of public spaces, it is a minor inconvenience, and if it puts others at ease, warranted or not, than I may as well wear one

You are a demagouge; you are trying to win your arguement with emotional statements that are nothing but lies and distortments. For a very long time nobody was allowed near the rebbe without a mask and social distancing but unfortunately he got sick anyway. And yet you accuse non mask wearers for making the rebbe ill. You are a sick puppy.

I hope the rebbe has a refuah sheleimah very quickly. He is a special man (I met him)

    5. Fetach - no one is claiming that if you follow the guidelines you are 100% protected - but if the tzibbur as a whole did it the cases would drop significantly.

    6. Multiple studies have shown the efficacy of masks. Anecdotes are not data.

  15. So yesterday my boys and girls wore masks all day in school

I asked my kids how it went

My son: it was his worst day in school

My daughter: it was her best day in school, all day she ate candy and chewed gum and teacher had no clue

  16. "as Rabbonim relay the govt wants all healthy people in Lakewood to test for covid prior to sukkos."

Riiiiight. EREV yom tov, thousands of healthy people will all get tested

I got a bridge to sell, anyone interest?

    ReplyDelete
  17. I still dont understand. why do the rabbonim say the govmt wants health people to test? what is the reason behind it? is it a number game, or trying to make sure stealth carriers do not spread it in shul?
Also, why woudl health people want to wait in a clinic or on line with other potential sick people and likely get exposed?

  18. Israel is in lock down since Erev Rosh Hashana and today is reporting over 8000 new cases

    What does this mean?

    1. Israel is not in complete lockdown. I believe one can go out up to 500 meters from their home. There's plenty mingling in that area unless you live in a farm.

  21. Israel is not doing this to save lives. They are doing it to prove to the world how "advanced" they are by so strictly combating this; to teach the world how it's done, to be a model to the world. Its all about that old fashion Israeli gaavah.

Seriously, the numbers don’t make sense. The lines at the urgent cares were at the door the last free days. Someone is not reporting rapid tests or not reporting at all.
