  1. What is the rush to open schools with no plan when older rebbeim have no immunity. Why are the mosdos pushing for it.

    1. Schools are not here to serve the rabbeim. Schools are here to serve Hashem - which is to teach Torah and proper character.

We follow the Torah's dictates as to open the schools.

If a rebbe has to take off, then it is sad and unfortunate. We must seek to help him. But we must not then punish all of Klaal Yisroel because of that and deprive everyone of their learning.

    2. Are schools paying rebbeim to take off if it is a sakana to them?
Is it all about gelt gelt gelt. The torah says chamira sakanta we are playing with lives just to prove that we have power in Trenton. If the want to open let them protect the melamdim first not throw them aside do a few young askanim can show off their power and connections

Did you sing Mipi Keil this Simchas Torah? Ein Shmirah Ka'torah.....

Or in your rush to make in under 5 minutes did you skip it?

    1. Afra Lepumei. He is saying the same thing that the Moetzes said both here and in Eretz Yisroel. You quote a piyut about kavod hatorah but your chutzpah and zilzul Talmidei chachamim is astonishing.

    2. Should we stop saying tehillim for the gadol hador because the torah is shomer. Theres a chiyun hishtadlus and tefila

    3. Did Shmuel Fine drink too much yesterday?

11:05 asked why schools are rushing to open when it is at risk to older Rabbeim

I essentially responded IN DEFENSE OF THE MOSDOS that the Zechus of Torah will be a Shmira for the older Rabbeim

And for that he says "afra lepumei" and accuses me of chutzpa and zilzul???

Yup, and perhaps the chiyuv hishtadlus in this circumstance is not to be mafsik hevel tinokos shel beis rabon?

  3. It is really sad and I feel bad for the older Rebbeim, but I think for the spirituality, sanity and economy of this town, yeshivos and bais yaakovs must continue and for the time being they may need to get substitutes. Even if the chinuch won't be as good as with the veteran rebbeim, it will certainly be good enough and definitely better than no learning.

    1. But if so many people didn't pay tuition, how are the schools supposed to pay both the older rebbeim and the new temporary ones?!

When faced with a choice between following the direction of five named and respected Rabbonim, as well as the BMG Roshei Yeshiva, or an unnamed group which is too embarrassed to affix their own identities to the proclamations they make, always follow the Daas Torah and the Rabbonim who you know of.

Just like the Doctors who fearmonger, these people are also fearmongering. If there is something to be worried about with regard to the testing, they can tell us to stop testing. But until that point, we should direct our questions to them, not to an unnamed ad.

    1. Forget about the anonymous group. Don't listen to them.

But can you please give me one good reason why someone that has all the symptoms - including loss of taste and smell - should test themselves? There are absolutely no gains from testing. You will not get any better medication. All that person is doing, is alerting the authorities, and eventually closing the schools.

What the rabonim meant when they said to go test, is that people who don't have symptoms should test to get the numbers down...

      A little seichel....

  5. Why no mention of the $150 LSTA refund? Are we hiding something here?

    1. BMG gave checks from the covid19 grant to youngeleit and bochurim right before Rosh Hashana.
Now lets see if LSTA returns part of the 150 that they took from parents per child but did not provide busing.

  6. How many of these Covid-19 positives are in fact the same people repeating their tests to see if they're still contagious? I know my daughter still had tested positive MONTHS after having the symptoms. Thankfully now she's testing negative, but these repeat tests may me skewing the actual numbers.

    1. Maybe 2 people? Who retests? It will stay positive for a while, and it has nothing to do with being contagious.

  7. Who retests ??
Are you living under a rock ?
People who want to go away for Yom Tov!
Many of the positives can be retests !
