Ordnance first reading Granting Tax abatements from local property taxes to:
-Chateau grand plaza at 939 River Avenue
-Prime Apartments at 7th and Madison former capitol hotel
-Street vacation, land sales.
What’s the real reason why they want to vacate Clayton Avenue? There seems to be a lot of other recent maneuvering by the township on behalf of someone taking place in that area. We need some sunlight shined over there.
ReplyDeleteChutzpa!!!
ReplyDeleteThe township has the gall to hand out tax abatements on income generating properties for developers but raised taxes again this year pn poor lakewood residents. Vote out Ray Coles.
Enough!!!
I’m shocked that tax abatement would be considered for businesses l! The average person needs a break!
DeleteRay Coles is on voting ballot! No voté... DONE!
DeleteRay Comes is on voting ballet! Vote NO! DONE!
DeleteWhere do I sign up to get MY tax abatement??
ReplyDeleteVote all the bums out
Coles is the King Bum. Vote him out now!
ReplyDeleteWhen are they going to stop vacating streets ..that is why there is so much traffic in many neighborhoods
ReplyDeleteOutrageous to offer abatements in those prime areas, also what's the reason to vacate streets... the town needs more streets!
ReplyDeleteI tried to comment regarding the tax abatements for businesses which I think is shocking and wrong and I got this.
ReplyDeleteYour message to comments@lakewoodnj.gov couldn't be delivered.
The group comments only accepts messages from people in its organization or on its allowed senders list, and your email address isn't on the list.
What possible reason can they have for only allowing messages from approved emails. Isn’t the email address “ comments” for the taxpayers who voted for them???
DeleteTry again during the meeting
ReplyDeleteMiller lichtenstein delia all of them are taking advantage of the taxpayers by approving these things
ReplyDeleteThere is no public comment on ordnance of first reading. they will push off the next meeting until after the election
ReplyDeleteThis is what the Lakewood vaad support and defend. Corruption and taking advantage of hard working tax payers who could barely cover the monthly mortgage and give abatements to their buddies which will become a bigger burden on the tax payers.
ReplyDeleteCould not agree more...
DeleteWhy in the world are we subsidizing these for profit developers? Were practically taking money from people that don't have it to subsidize the rich developers.
ReplyDeleteCHUTZPAH!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe corroption is from the other committeeman who approve knowing that one of their fellow committeeman will gain financialy even though he obstains.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that they have to abstain means that they gain, usualy.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened in the Eisman case
ReplyDeleteI always thought that tax abatement was for new construction, 5 years and went by a percentage each year,
ReplyDeleteResidents should be more trusting of us hardworking politicians. We always keep the taxpayers in our thoughts.
