-Last night Lakewood Zoning board approves 23 homes at the corner of Neiman road and Cross street currently its a r40 zone and only 8 homes are allowed but after the masterplan the zoning was changed to R12 allowing 23. The board conditioned the permits on the county widening Cross street which has begun. Some members objected that they just approved Eagle ridge which will have 5000 cars coming to Cross street andit will be congestion city. Other members said that the other option is another school will be built there and he rather have ratables than a school. Lawyers said that the lots may not all be 12,000 some will be 13 or 14.
I don't see any way that won't lead to safety issues for kids leaving Shagas Aryeh.
ReplyDeleteShkia in the South side of Lakewood is much later then 8:20.
ReplyDeleteI would rather have a school there then 23 schools. In Lakewood every house can be a school. How much ratables will the houses bring in vs. paying out?
ReplyDeleteHouses take in more then they pay our, particularly houses with rentals in the basement that have additional expenses to the district. What should have been done long ago, is to charge 2 family homes at a higher tax rate. What this township does is that it does not consider basements livable space, even when their is a rental apartment in the supposed non-livable space. So someone with a 3000 Sq ft home and no basement, pays the same taxes as someone with a 3000sq ft home with 2 basement apartments
DeleteDidn't they try the "approval conditional on road improvement" thing with Eagle Ridge, and a judge tossed it out saying it was an illegal stipulation? Why are they doing that again, they know it will get tossed and the development will be built with no road improvements.
DeleteWriting anti-Trump books is quite a lucrative business these days.
ReplyDeleteWhat happened to greaterlakewood?? Velt news? Funny it disappeared. Was it bought out by TLS to control the Lakewood media?
