  1. We never applied for snap benefits and, out of nowhere, received a card yesterday P-EBT in the mail yesterday for my 6th grade son in the mail.

Was that a mistake or did our school give them our address or s/t?

    I'd greatly appreciate anyone's help!

    1. Anyone who received free or reduced lunches should have gotten an p-EBT card. The schools provided info to the state.

    2. If you are eligible to receive free school lunches your kids school gave your info to the state. If you got it out of nowhere just enjoy it.

    3. If you would’ve been reading Hefkervelt on a regular basis, then you wouldn’t have had this question. This has all been explained on here several times already.

    4. I'm not eligible to receive free and never applied for anything with the devil, that the point of my question. Now, it could be every child in the school automatically is entitled to free lunch, that's what I'm trying to figure out.

Trying to figure out a connection with BMG stimulus check. It's also to encourage Lakewooders to move to Jackson and fill their pool. (humor)

    8. "The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) is a federal program under the USDA's National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. It allows schools that serve a high proportion of low-income students to offer free breakfast and lunch to all students rather than collecting individual applications and limiting free and reduced-price lunches to only income-eligible students."
If your school participates in this program, then all students are eligible for P-EBT regardless of income.
