US officials say the Iranian attack will be wider with more targets than the previous 

- Iran is aiming at three air force bases and an intelligence headquarters in the center of Israel NYT

- Israel clears army bases and entire fleet of refueling planes are airborne 

- IDF Spokesperson General Hagari: "An Iranian attack on the State of Israel will have consequences. I won't say more than that."

- The U.S. Embassy in Israel has issued a High-Level Alert to its Diplomatic Staff and Employees, ordering them to return to their Homes and remain near Bomb Shelters.

- The new Homefront Command instructions for all residents of Israel are NOT because of Lebanon. These restrictive guidelines were implemented due to a threat and developing "situation" in the wider Middle East.

- NYT is reporting that the Iranian attack is expected to occur within the next 12 hours. 

- Senior American officials are saying they have intelligence that Iran is preparing to launch a wave of missiles and drones at Israel in the near immediate future (24-48 hours). 

A senior American official warns Iran: "We are actively supporting the defensive preparations to protect Israel from this attack. A direct military attack by Iran against Israel would have serious consequences for Iran." (Amit Segal)

- Selichos gathering at the kosel canceled after home front command issues restrictions for public gatherings which could also effect Rosh Hashana davening of large minyanim.The Home Front Command issued new directives for central Israel and Yerushalayim on Tuesday. Gatherings are limited to 30 people in open spaces and 300 people in closed spaces. The directives will be in effect until October 5 at 8 p.m. 

- IDF: 3,000 terrorists were waiting to attack north after Oct. 7; special forces carried out 70 raids on Hezbollah since then

- IDF troops over past months silently reached around 1,000 Hezbollah sites in southern Lebanon, some of them several kilometers from the border fence, including tunnels and bunkers where the terror group stored weapons. The IDF said the sites were located both inside Lebanese villages and in forested areas..

- According to IDF assessments, some 2,400 Radwan terrorists and another 500 Palestinian Islamic Jihad terrorists — trained by Radwan — were waiting in southern Lebanon villages to attack Israel in the days after Hamas’s October 7 onslaught.

- IDF forces destroyed a large number of offensive tunnels in Lebanese territory, through which Hezbollah planned to invade Israeli territory in a 10/7 style attack. Some tunnels were destroyed from the ground, and some from the air.

- Israeli security official "We are talking about limited and local operations in Lebanon, in accordance with specific intelligence, in areas near the border where Hezbollah has embedded itself - Beirut is not on the table”

-A man in his 50s is moderately wounded in the Hezbollah rocket attack on central Israel, medics say he was hit by shrapnel in the head.

- Rocket alert sirens sounding across central Israel and Sharon area in apparent major barrage. Reports of a rocket imapct near the Horeshim Interchange in central Israel, following rocket fire from Lebanon.

- IDF: Hezbollah was planning to use homes in southern Lebanon as ‘staging grounds for Oct. 7-style invasion’

- Houthi spokesman  claims the Yemeni rebels targeted Israeli military posts in Tel Aviv and Eilat with drones today, in a televised speech.
The claim of responsibility appears to be related to a drone intercepted by the Israeli Air Force early this morning over the Mediterranean Sea.

-IDF announces launch of limited ground raids of Hezbollah sites across Lebanon border
Incursion aimed at removing terror group’s infrastructure along Blue Line; US official say We understand desire for limited op, but are concerned about mission creep 

- "Every IDF soldier who crosses the border fence into Lebanese soil knows that he is doing so to protect the citizens of Israel. May Hashem protect our soldiers."
Israeli officials and ministers have expressed their support and blessings for Israel's ground operation in southern Lebanon, which began on Monday night as tensions between Hezbollah and Israel continued to escalate.
