  1. Reb Chaim would of yelled חי וקיים on this. With all due repspect - the honorable doc knows how many woman these days have miscarriages from fasting -as he writes "fasting can cause contractions" (and this is without running major statistics, as goyim do not fast. He knows this from serving the Jewish community.) Therefore telling an expecting women to lay in bed and take a chance of loosing the baby - is רציחה. If she is dizzzy she needs to drink.

    1. You misread and misunderstood what is said and ignorant in halacha and medicine.

    2. 1. If misread -then many others are misreading the same paper, hence it should be revised so the common Klaman can understand the hidden message. 2. As u r a בקי in halacha, u should enlight us all with ur מראה מקומות so חלילה we should not be נכשל

    3. What is "would of"? And what is "loosing"?

    4. What 2:36 means is that certain shaylos should be asked to certain Rabbonim, not necessarily a RY or one's shul Rav.

  2. A woman that has contractions should be eating a hefty meal. PERIOD. Not laying in bed nor taking shiurim.

    1. That is when you are already in a situation of sakana. To ask in advance what is considered dangerous is not what that means. There are sugyos aruchos about asking doctors if one has to eat.

  5. I don't think 'drinking as much as possible' on the morning before the fast is advisable.
They must ensure, from a few days before YK, not to be dehydrated, to make sure to drink enough for the body's needs. But drinking gallons on erev YK just sends a person to the bathroom with no benefit. Drink slightly more than normal, all day.
