- Police update on Motzei shabbos crash: Lakewood man was killed Saturday night when the pickup truck he was a passenger in was hit by another pickup truck,Oliver Vasquez, 36, died of injuries he suffered in the crash that happened shortly before 9 p.m. Vasquez was a passenger in a 2007 Ford Explorer that was hit by a 2006 Ford F-350 that was driving north on Route 9 when he sideswiped a 2010 Honda Accord  northbound on Route 9 and was trying to turn left onto 9th Street at the time, Staffordsmith said. -Updated: Data shows Lakewood's car ownership rate is higher than the statewide rate, while not owning a vehicle is at a lower rate. study did not factor leased cars. According to U.S. Census Data from the American Community Survey, 9.3% of Occupied Housing Units in Lakewood have no vehicle registered, 39.5% have 1 vehicle and 42.9% have 2 vehicles.
