  1. After former Twitter executives were grilled yesterday on Capitol Hill for their part in colluding with the FBI to censor Americans, Elon Musk tweeted out "The Woke Stasi felt the Heat today." He then went on to agree with a tweet that pointed out that the Stasi (The East German secret police) began by calling themselves anti-fascists (anti-fa) but in reality they were the fascists themselves.

Did you learn today's Daf yet? How about Yerushalmi? Then chazer yesterday's. Stop taking online comments seriously enough that you feel you need to give musser to the people making them when they aren't saying anything the Torah prohibits saying.

    1. I heard from somebody reliable that the girls high schools all worked together for the last many years so that should not happen. There were rules in place instituted by all the schools that every girl would be given the opportunity to decide after they knew what choices they had . Letters did not go out till peasach time and then everybody had a few days to make their choice . It seems like 1 newer school that got a lot of funding from a wealthy family ,decided that they don't care about this, and started demanding answers on the spot from parents and threatening that they would lose their slots if they didnt answer right away And since parents are terrified about not having any slots for their daughters especially this year when there are going to be 200 more girls going in to 9th grade, they had no choice but to panic and make decisions before they even had interviews or got an answer from the other schools that they may have wanted to go to . I heard that most of the other schools did not want to use the same threatening tactics. But once one school does it ,the system broke down and looks like it can never be fixed again and it looks like it will now be the wild west ,even worse than the mesivtas.

    2. As usual we were better off when the tycoon families were more obviously half frei and chutz l'machene. Our communities suffered much less than now .Drive them all out.Out of our magazines too.

We should bring that back .

    3. I don't believe that the wealthy family realized that this would be the result of their donation . I'm sure they really meant well ,to donate to Torah causes.

    4. They are suddenly stupid .Hardly likely.

They are probably smiling about it among friends

    5. If it's the school I think it is , the donors have no say in the running of the school and it's not their school. They just gave a large donation .

    6. Always the same excuse with new schools, if we dont jump ahead with early acceptance for the first few years, we'll never make it....... The lack of communal achdus and achrayos has been the source of everything good about our town going down the drain

    7. That's is not true. Over the last 30 years there were constantly new girls high schools that could have said that but nobody did . Of course the system is competitive and no system can he perfect when yiu ate dealing with such rapid yearly growth ,but nobody was forced to give an answer till letters were sent out .and every year the schools got together and decided when to send the letters at the same time . What happened this year is totally different due to one school not caring about the ramifications. Over the next 10 years, there will now be tens of thousands of girls going through the mesivta process because of this.

    8. I really believe that the donors meant well and have no control any more .But its a wake up call that donors need to do due diligence as to who they are entrusting their large donations to .

    9. 'ya kidding? The recipients got to do due diligence

  3. Building a daycare on Spruce and Washington to be accurate seems like (Spruce and Vine) is insane, that area is severely backed up during peak hours as it is.

I admire people who make their money without destroying neigborhoods in Lakewood.

    2. There’s plenty of other daycares in Lakewood and beyond. This one is not necessary. Especially because this developer is known for ruining neighborhoods.
