- Gedolei Yisrael call for a yom tefillah this coming Monday erev Rosh chodesh Adar due to the numerous tzaros that have occurred.

- At Lakewood township meeting last night Mike Delia didn't virtually attend, because he had another event.

- Article in TVOL weekly about high school acceptance quotes anonymous askanim who say that "next year" this breakdown of the system wont happen. But little was said about what actually sid happen this year nor did anyone apologize or take responsibility besides saying that we saw it coming due to an extra 399 girls over last year. There's some hope that classes will be added this year and all girls will have a place come next year.

- Nikki Haley will attend a fundraiser hosted by Orthodox Jewish businessmen in NYC on Feb 27.

- Agudah issues statement Rabbi Avi Schnall to step down as Agudath Israel’s New Jersey Director. No mention of plan to run for public office. "Agudath Israel is pleased to announce that New Jersey legislative activities will continue under the leadership of Rabbi Shlomo Schorr, associate director of government affairs. Rabbi Schorr’s previous experience as a journalist, with strong relationships in local and state government, makes him a natural to advocate for Orthodox Jewish interests in Trenton and in city and town halls across the state".

- Jackson Township Council and Planning Board have finally produced documents as required due to the ongoing lawsuit filed by the New Jersey Attorney General's Office - an entire year after they were demanded relating to anti semitism claims. (FAA)

- Connectify event at Bellworks Over 2,000 women and girls of all ages from all backgrounds from across the tri state area and beyond joined together for chizuk, inspiration with a strong message Torah is our life, and Torah is the only way for us to achieve true happiness and satisfaction.... The theme of the night was they will build their homes as a Mishkan for Hakadosh Baruch Hu. A sheltered castle, a place where we as daughters of Hashem our King have the opportunity and the zechus to raise the next generation with a love and a passion. The event was a founding event for Shela-He, a branch of Kupas Yom Tov geared to offering girls and ladies the opportunity and zechus to be constantly connected to Torah through partnering with and supporting Talmidei Chachamim. You give $1 or $2 a day and that money is combined and sent to support these Talmidei Chachamim on a steady basis throughout the year.

  1. I am against every event for girls until they address the shidduch crisis. That is the biggest issue for bnos yisrael by far. And because it doesn't affect the powerful (well to do, Rosh Yeshivas, and well connected) nothing is being done on the scale that we address other issues. It is as important than technology.

    1. I am against girls eating, drinking water, sleeping or even breathing until they address the _________ (fill in the blank) crises in the way that I - in my great wisdom - decided it should be addressed.

    2. If yiu think that it doesn't affect the well to do , yiu are mistaken. There are plenty of rich girls affected

    3. Rich girls have more dates, supposedly a good thing. But they are not more likely to get married young. Just as many of them reach 25 without getting engaged as poor girls.

    4. It depends. A rich girl that is ok with a boy going to work in a couple of years and not being a real Talmud chacham will definitely have an easier time

    1. Sounds funny, but don't forget he's getting paid $60k a year plus benefits, yet he can't bother to call in for a meeting. Some birthday party is more important. And Raymond Coles covers for him. Gotta wonder what dirt someone is holding on Coles to keep him in line.

  3. Interesting article in TVOL . The anonymous askonim knew what was happening and knew who the person was and they didnt stop him
According to what I hear from non anonymous reliable askonim sources, there is less than zero chance for any cooperation after what was done . I heard that it actually already was started last year by the same person and the anonymous Askonim knew about it then and couldn't do anything.

    1. I'm actually a well known askan, and I can guarantee that next year things will be very different. Well I can't guarantee it, but we are working very very very hard. I'll make a big speech by our next askanim get-together at a big resort, even if we can't actually get anything done, we'll certainly get the entire audience to give a standing ovation.
