  1. Besides for the already insane traffic on Cedarbridge this will make gridlock. But how much retail can one town handle? The stores are struggling as is now the town is adding another 30 stores makes no sense at all. There's new shopping centers going up in Toms River and Jackson.

    1. Store are struggling because of extremely high rent, and the expense of every store needing to look like a museum. And if it takes 30 minutes to get anywhere people will shop closer even if it's not their prefered store. With that said, there is a shortage of retail space available in and around Lakewood.

(Let's not forget the owners of the cedarbridge properties arent paying land tax. Because the are supposed to bring in high paying jobs. Another lie. And why is the township building a sporting event tent? Isn't that what blueclaw stadium is for?)

  5. If you read the FAA article, you'll see that besides this proposed Lakewood Shopping Village there's also a second massive retail shopping center in the plans for this area. For the second center plans are underway for a 171,900 sq foot mixed use building, as well as a 32,840 sq foot retail building at this location. Good luck to the folks living off Pine St.

  6. Let's hope Menashe Miller also comes to his senses and retires. We don't need Lakewood corruption represented in the county. He is a lacky for Bob Singer there's no reason for frum yidden to push for higher office when they don't have the respect of their own community or a stellar record to run on.

Mah doch five years ago, when yungeleit and Torah was not so respected, the Bnei Torah of Lakewood managed to prevent a shopping mall from being erected on CedarBridge, kal sheken now, post Adirei Hatorah, that the Yungeleit's position will be respected and the mall should not be erected.

    2. The answer should be obvious long ago.

Bnei Torah's kavod does not depend on filling stadiums, and these events do not increase the kavod of Torah an iota. Only superficial people can make such a mistake.
Adirei Hatorah is another link in the chain of bizayon that people who dedicate their lives to Torah undergo in a megushamdige world. And that is how it will be till Moshiach comes.
