- Torah Vodaas opening future campus in Jackson FAAnews reports Yeshiva Torah Vodaath, located in Brooklyn, has just closed on the $1,180,000 purchase of a 1.59 acres lot at 257 East Veterans Highway in Jackson Township, FAA News has learned. Public recordsindicate that Bais Yaakov of Jackson was previously under contract to buy this lot, however that contract apparently fell through and Torah Vodaath has closed on the property.

The lot is down the road from The Vineyards, Royal Grove, and from where Yeshiva Nefesh Hachaim recently purchased land for a Yeshiva and dormitory. Read more at Faanews 

- Non public busing in Jackson only 11 routes picked up for next year including 7 routes for Bais Faiga, one bus for Bnos Melech, 2 buses for Nachlas BY, and one for Shiras Chaim. Approximately 600 students are on these buses. The district will try to rebid the other routes next month or parents will receive AIL and have to arrange their own transportation

FAA reports the Lakewood Township Committee and Industrial Commission have been quietly pushing forward a proposal to permit construction of 150 feet high rise buildings in a portion in the Township As part of their "keep it quiet campaign," Township officials have attempted to deny the full impact of this proposal, including the actual height of the proposed buildings FAA article says This "ceremonial admonition" is actually a very big deal.  The Philly Basketball team the 76ers are a win away from advancing to the next round of the playoffs which means there's still a possibility for them to play on the night of the Adirei hatiorah event. There is currently a 51% chance the NBA 76ers make it to the finals according to news reports.

Police said a preliminary investigation showed the driver of the vehicle, a 19-year-old Toms River man, was traveling west on Route 70 when he struck the teenager, who was walking south in the crosswalk on Vermont Avenue. “She was with her mother and younger sister at the time of the (crash),” Staffordsmith said.

- Update from Philadelphia Yeshiva on condition of Rav Shmuel Kamenetzky shlita: B'chasdei Hashem the Rosh Yeshiva is alert and communicating, and is continuing to improve. On Monday the Rosh HaYeshiva was moved to a rehab center where we are mispallel he will continue to improve. The Rosh Yeshiva appreciates all the Teffilos and requests the oilam to continue to be מתפלל for his complete refuah.

- Lag Baomer celebrations took place last night across Lakewood and neighboring towns with more events than previous years as the chassidish community has moved in to the area. At Skulen in Lakewood thousands gatherered outdoors in the parking lot with Parantches set up on both sides. The local yeshiva bochurim from mesivtas and bais medrash participated after their night seder was over in yeshiva. The rebbe spoke and said that this year תשפ''ג stands for תהא שנת פדיון גדול . At Mordys Shteible the Lakewood Rosh yeshiva Rav Dovid Schustal shlita delivered divrei chizuk.

NJ will provide Summer P-EBT of $120 to all children enrolled in the lunch program. Per federal guidelines, all summer benefits must be issued by September 30, 2023, at which point the Covid P-EBT program will close for good. NJ hopes to issue benefits in July/August 2023. SNAP households will receive P-EBT issuances to their SNAP card. All other households will receive benefits on their existing P-EBT cards. - Return of the in person yeshiva dinner. For the first time since covid the yeshivios and schools have reverted back from  online campaigns to in person dinners with many scheduled events coming up. - Update on Rav Shmuel Kamenetzky From Matzav The  overall condition of Maran Rav Shmuel Kamenetsky, Philadelphia rosh yeshiva, remains unchanged after his stroke earlier this week. Physicians are working on transferring the rosh yeshiva to a rehab facility or Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Boruch Hashem, as previously reported here, there appears to have been no cognitive damage, but the rosh yeshiva’s speech has been affected.

From Matzav: Rav Hershkowitz was one of the gedolei roshei yeshiva and gedolei hador of America. A prized talmid of Rav Aharon Kotler zt”l, Rav Hershkwitz had a profound impact on talmidim over many decades of harbotzas haTorah. His humility and tzidkus were matched by his ahavas haTorah and ahavas Hashem, as he served as a guiding light in the Torah world.

When he was a yougerman in BMG kollel there would be a line forming everyday from his seat in the yoshon B"M on the left side all the way to the back with people waiting to speak to him in learning. He was briefly at Adelphia yeshiva before going to Stamford.

- Rav Malkiel Kotler shlita: He was the rebbe of klal yisrael from the first American bnei Torah a demus of giving over to talmidim for over 60 years and was a demus even for those who did not learn by him He continued the mesorah and added on to what he learned from his rebbe rav Aaron Kotler. 

- Rav Yeruchom Olshin shlita: The world and shamayim is crying on the loss of such a tzadik gamur a gaon in Torah a yochid umeyuchud  its a loss for the entire world. He would answer on the spot in all of nashim and nezikin roshei yeshiva would come to him as a youngerman to hear his torah. He suffered throughout his life and did not change or flinch; he continued his learning he was a malach. He learned Torah Lishmu that he got from his rebbe and as chazal say kol haolam kolo kedai hu lo the entire world was created for him and his learning is mashpiah on the entire briah. he never looked for kavod he was an anav who was marbitz torah for over 60 years. 

-Rav Yisroel Neuman shlita We lost a tremendous talmid chochom nothing else in the world was counted to him but the Torah he was fully misbatel to torah we should all get a chizuk to go in his ways and keep on shteiging totally misbatel to the Torah 

 - Rav Nisson Goodman shlita: He was a person who the shechina rested on him nothing stood in is way he lived a life of kavod  shamayim

- Rav Yosef Kaufman shlita: when Rav Meir was a bachur  the  R"Y Rav Ahron was mechabed him and gave him the mesorah for future generations he was zoche to be from the mosrei hatorah like the 5 talmidei Rav Akiva. he was from the mekablei hatorahto transmit it,

- Talmid Rav Nosson Stein Shlita: He was constantly mechadesh chidushei Torah always looking for the emes that was his tafkid always with ameilus. He was a rebbe that had everything in him
