Iran Israel News Updates Monday July 13

- CENTCOM announced: We have begun a new wave of attacks in Iran. Explosions were reported in Kish Island and Bandar Abbas, located in southern Iran, according to local reports.

- Trump on Iran: “They wired differently, and we're not going to put up with it. We are just going forward, we're attacking them tonight, and we're taking out all of their capability for anything having to do with the strait, and I think in the end, we will end up just controlling the whole thing, and what they're doing is being very foolish. Very stupid, and they've treated people horribly, they've killed 52,000 protesters so far that we can determine."

- Trump on opening the Strait of Hormuz: “"I want to get reimbursed, because we're protecting a rich portion of the world...we are going to be reimbursed by the countries we're helping...Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Bahrain, and others. Kuwait, others. They will do very well. We think it's appropriate”

Trump: I didn't throw Bibi under the bus. He's doing a good job. Without both of us, there wouldn't be Israel. He's doing a wonderful job. Regarding the other candidates in the (Israeli) election: "I don't know them."

- Trump responded to a question about whether Israel would join the attacks: "I don't want to comment on that.
We will strike them with great force tonight and tomorrow

- The American military says it will resume its naval blockade on Iran starting tomorrow late at night local time, on the orders of US President Donald Trump. In a statement, the US Central Command says its forces “will resume blockading maritime traffic entering and exiting Iranian ports on July 14 at 4 p.m. EST.

- Trump: US Naval blockade on Iran is back on. Trump: “The Hormuz Strait is OPEN, and will remain OPEN, with or without Iran. We are reinstating the THE IRANIAN BLOCKADE, so named because it is only stopping Iran’s ships or customers from entering or leaving. All other countries will have fair and open use of the Strait. The U.S.A. will be, from this point forward, known as “THE GUARDIAN OF THE HORMUZ STRAIT,” but as such, and as a matter of FAIRNESS, will be reimbursed, at the rate of 20% on all cargo shipped, for any and all costs necessary to do the job of providing safety and security to this very volatile section of the World. The process and formation will begin immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

- President Trump issues a scathing warning to Iran following a broken military agreement, revealing that the U.S. hammered their equipment overnight and may permanently take over security operations in the Middle East. "Most of their equipment is gone. Their anti-aircraft gun, we hit them very hard last night." "Every time they send a drone, we hit them very hard." "But we had a deal... And then they broke it. They always break it... so we're just going to hit them very hard and we're going to keep the Strait and we'll probably run.”

- Trump on the Strait of Hormuz: “We're gonna guard it, and we're gonna get paid for guarding it, a lot of money. We want to be reimbursed for putting our people in danger. We had a deal — they always break it. We're just gonna hit them very hard. We'll probably run the Strait. We'll be the guardian angel. We should be reimbursed for that."

- Report: Ahmadinejad met Mossad chief under Israeli plan to install him as Iran leader
According to a New York Times investigation cited by multiple outlets, former Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was secretly cultivated by Israel's Mossad for years as a potential intelligence asset and possible post-regime leader in Iran. The report claims former Mossad chief David Barnea met Ahmadinejad in Budapest in 2024, where the two held covert talks, and that Ahmadinejad had moderated his public rhetoric in recent years. The report also says Ahmadinejad is now under house arrest after Iranian authorities allegedly uncovered his contacts with Israel. The claims are based on unnamed U.S. and Iranian officials and have not been independently verified.

- According to Yemen's official news agency, a Saudi attack targeted runways at Sanaa International Airport Houthi military spokesman in Yemen: "In unjust and blatant aggression, the Saudi enemy attacked the international airport in Sana'a with several airstrikes, thus putting an end to efforts to prevent escalation. Therefore, it must bear the consequences of its acts of aggression; we emphasize that this aggression will not go unanswered"el

The reason for the Saudi attack on Sanaa is the landing of an Iranian plane in Yemen this morning, and a second Iranian plane that has already landed in Iran in the past week. Iran is arming the Houthis

- CENTCOM: US forces struck dozens of targets across Iran, including air defense systems, radar sites along the coast, missile capabilities, and unmanned aerial and maritime vehicles. The strikes were carried out using fighter jets, U.S. Navy vessels, and unmanned aerial and maritime vehicles.
