Forecasters are tracking a potential coastal storm that could bring snow to New Jersey late Saturday into Sunday. While the chance for impactful snow and wind has increased, meteorologists say the storm’s track remains uncertain and confidence is still low as of Tuesday.


- Giyus law ready for vote in Knesset 
Boaz Bismuth announced that the Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee has finished reviewing all sections of the Draft Law and is close to voting on it. - Lakewood, NJ – Emergency Power Outage: An emergency power outage is planned this afternoon, January 27, for northeast Lakewood while crews make urgent electrical repairs. About 4,872 customers may lose service between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Officials say the outage is necessary for safety and to prevent more extensive damage. Affected residents will receive reverse notifications.

- Another frum radio station has gone live on the FM dial in the Lakewood area. Station 88.7 FM features Jewish music and English-language shiurim, joining 104.7 and 107.9 FM and giving local listeners three frum radio options while sitting in traffic.

- Jewish community sources in Iran reported this afternoon that there were no Jewish fatalities or injuries during the protests, contradicting online reports. They added that members of the community did not take part in anti-regime demonstrations.
Several community members were reportedly detained “by mistake” on suspicion of involvement in the protests, and community leaders said they hope the individuals will be released soon.

    Can someone on the BOE explain why it isnt warranted?? We owe the state close to 200 million dollars. The public school is pathetic. Total mismanagemnt for years at the BOE. Yes we want the takeover to happen.

  3. Exactly, The BOE with the daas torah VAAD has put bochurim on the BOE with no real life business experience to deal with the disaster. Do they have a plan to get us out of the mess that has been going on for years??? All the taxpayers money has been sinking in and now taxpayers pay for bussing. They hand it off to LSTA and pay more $$ without accountability . I am glad The state is taking it over
