DeleteThat coalition deserves credit for rethinking their public position and for affirming their commitment to the centrality of Torah learning . This would be an excellent time for the leadership of the Yeshivos to , without in any way diluting their commitment to Torah learning, express hakoras hatov for the mesiras nefesh of the brave soldiers who put their lives on the line around the clock.
ReplyDeleteNo one asked these guys for their opinions. It makes absolutely no difference if they backtrack or not what they say is irrelevant this whole thing is a nothing burger
Delete7:32 Did anyone ask you for your opinion that you believe it is relevant for us to know?
Delete"coalition" a few fat irrelevant lying baal habatim
Deletethe smoke from all the gaza BBQs they made scrambled their brains
Well this "nothing burger" should challenge you and the Chareidi leadership to express the fundamental Torah middah of hakoras hatov towards the soldiers.
ReplyDeleteWhy should we (Chareidim) show HHT to those who hate us? Especially those who worship the Zionist govt. Chareidim want to be left alone to learn Hashem’s Torah and be avdei Hashem. The IDF wants to destroy us both spiritually and physically and worship the State. Our HHT is to Hashem. G’virim who put conditions on their donations that go against Torah can keep their money.
ReplyDeleteDo you happen to know where and who hakaras hatov is learned from? Hint. It is a group a lot worse than the "Zionists"
DeleteAs long as it's exclusively soldiers
ReplyDeletewe take our guidance from daas Torah not some wannabe askanim. the IDF and medina mean nothing to us, we are kuloy Torah
ReplyDeletePeople who are truly "kuloy Torah" arent twiddling away their time on the treifene tumahdig Internet posting comments on news hock sites
Delete4:22 When you are online at 4:22 AM (or any other time for that matter) it is difficult for me to understand how you can view yourself as someone who takes guidance from Daas Torah and is Kuloy Torah. Can you explain that to me?
DeleteThen leave the country if you don't want to serve it
DeleteOthers should sacrifice (lives, health, work, businesses) for your refusal to do the same.
In the US (or Europe), you won't get a military exemption. Actually, Iran will give you an exemption. Maybe go there.
I would stay away from Yeshivas Mir if I were you.
DeleteRav Chaim Schmulevitz said that those who don't have hakoras hatov towards the soldiers are not welcome in his bais medrash.
"Charedim want to be left alone" like Shem v'Ever
DeleteNot good for bnei ha'avos
“ we are kuloy Torah”
4:22 is using a very common demagogic appeal to supporters. It makes them feel that we are the right without having to explain why. It makes them feel that we are the good and smarter without actually doing anything to feel that way other than self righteously opposing others. Online, you see that so frequently that it needs to be pointed out and recognized.
