During the recent storm ten people were found dead on the streets. Isn’t this tantamount to, at minimum, reckless disregard for human life?
Will there be any accountability?

    1. According to recent research the number of Jews was likely over 6,500,000 perhaps even 7,000,000

  2. Reb Mendel is being unjustly persecuted. If his last name was Alter none of the other rebbes would dare to open their mouths, and if it was Schneerson none of the modernishe would criticize him. His only sin is making a funny song about his shitta; everything else is standard fare in the chassidish world.

    1. Not unjust at all. He is avoda zara mamash. It is a mitzvah to ridicule

    2. Notice that Anon 11:21 didn't bring any proof or explanation to this 'unjustness'. Just that if it would be a different last name, people wouldn't 'persecute'. As though the issue was 'people'.
      1. Nobody is 'persecuting' him. They are pointing out what a nutjob he is. Persecuting is what was done to Reb Shaul's chassidim.
      2. No Alter or Schneerson came close to the foolishness of this Mendel guy.

    3. Anon 5:28 - how is he "avoda zara mamash" any more than his own father or many other rebbes that said the same thing? What about Rashbi in the Zohar on שלוש פעמים בשנה? Is it a mitzvah to mock him now too?

Anon 7:03 - I don't know, does Reb Mendel put on Lag Baomer parades with himself at the center, where he has kids sing songs implying he's moshiach? Seems to me Vizhnitz Mercaz is far tamer and in line with mainstream chassidus. His only sin is not being one of the "popular" crowd of rebbes.

    4. Declaring the Lubavitcher Rebbe as Moshiach is not avoda zara, even if you don't like it.
The whole whataboutism is irrelevant. Here we have a bonafide basket case, an am haaretz de'oraysa uderabanan, selling wholesale nonsense to a kehilla, and removing them from Torah. It should be condemned, but it isn't, precisely because he is from a 'popular' brand name family.

No other Rebbe in recent years has been as bad. Yes, Lubavitch sold shtussim. But they also sold avodas Hashem, they also sold certain ideas in ahavas yisroel, they also demanded levels of mesiras nefesh for Torah. Their shtussim is shtussim, but the rest isn't. Mercaz is an empty pit filled with noxious fumes.

    1. Insane that this is one of the highest paid jobs in NJ for public office with empty busses

is this for the chasidishe crowd only? Do you have to be fluent in yiddish and Spanish?

Everyone should apply for this job it's a no Brainer an easy 300k
Let's see who wins the job

      Delete
    2. No one is going to get the job.
This is an obvious ploy to win the chassidishe vote, and to ensure that they don't put up their own candidate
Township officials, after much deliberation, will announce that after reviewing all the applications for the job, LK is the most qualified
      Don't waste your time

      Delete
    3. What is the justification to pay 300k for a job that was 75k a few years ago. When these buses are mostly empty and don't even service most of Lakewood
This smells like a big scam using taxpayers money.
Can any township official publicly defend this theft of taxpayer money

    4. For starters, Township should explain to constituents why this job is of such specialty, and why a simple designated township employer working “full-time” and for “typical salary” is not a better fit, vs creating this made up liaison position of such one-of-a-kind skill at such a high cost?
Additionally, if it is well explained that this does require some independent liaison….so why all the technical points to qualify? Registered entities + UEZ preferred do not add to the unique skill set needed for this “special” job.
Lastly, such short notice to be setup and registered with NJ State and UEZ are all pre-qualifications, kind of sheds light on the obvious goal here.
      What a fraud!
      Another Somaliland game!

  5. A frum girl nearly killed by a repeat rock-throwing illegal alien. A mother and daughter killed in Lakewood by a drunk illegal driver with prior DWIs. And our local frum assemblyman voted with liberals on legislation limiting ICE’s ability to deport criminals just to oppose Trump. When lives are at stake, where is the accountability? Public safety should come before politics.
