ReplyDeleteIs this takeover just a ploy to throw out Aaron Lang's lawsuit?

Folks in Lakewood, get Ready for the PAYBACK from Trenton and our new Governess for not supporting her and her very SICK and Evil agenda.Today ,our wonderful GOV.is paying us Back by Taking over the entire School Board... Thanks to our Very wise and very Shortsighted leadership, This is just the beginning
ReplyDeleteBless ALL our Police and Law enforcement
ReplyDeleteThis takeover of the Board of Education is a cowardly, last-minute move, most probably designed to skirt the Lang lawsuit. Residents should prepare for major property tax increases in Lakewood as the city seeks to repay the $300 million owed. However, there is some reassurance: we have a representative in Trenton who has been promoted to high positions and sits on several key committees, so there’s hope that the community’s interests will be protected.
ReplyDeleteWhy would Murphy care about the Lang suit?
DeleteUse sechel.
Good morning, just a delayed response to the post a few days ago, that we should not, Besmirch the "Good" name of Lakewood, for all to see,, Relax, our wonderful Greedy, Corrupt and Callous leadership who Ignore the Voters/residents of this once Pristine Town are doing a Wonderful Job on their own by Cranking out Chillul H' Every Day on a Consistent Basis for the Entire Tristate to see. and Trust me, they all see it Clearly,so relax,Irreparable Harm simply feeding the Hate all around US. WAKE up FAKEWOOD

Wake up Fakewood,Trenton Hates us but loves our Tax Dollars,we have ZERO friends

ReplyDeleteSo the White House has highlighted a tragic incident in Lakewood, where two people a mother and daughter were killed by an illegal, drunk driver and criticized New Jersey’s immigration “sanctuary” policy This raises serious questions: why do we need a frum representative in Trenton who is actively fighting against Trump when our community’s safety is at stake? Is this the outcome the Moetzes intended when they instructed Lakewood to vote for a Democrat and confront Trump head-on in the legislature? who gave him a right to abuse our votes and go against the community intrests and standards?
why is there no accountability and the voting record? This is NOT what we were promised.
Heard that He tells people his daas Torah is from Brooklyn which is interesting that he represents lkwd
DeleteShouldn't there be a committee of Lakewood rabboim who live in the district that will dictate the will of the community instead of asking anti Trumpers.

The voters dictate the will of the people. Not Rabbanim. If people choose to follow certain Rabbanim, they will vote for their representatives.
DeleteUntil today, we had no problem with the undocumented immigrants, recognizing the benefit they bring us.
DeleteBut now that the Daas Torah in chief tweeted about it, we have a valid taanah. Our representative in Trenton should follow the whatsapp group daas torah and announce קדוש ברוך ימלוך to everything the genius says.
illegals is not the issue its the criminals that are roaming freely and the ones that are using all resources causing taxes and quality of life stop trying to spin your TDS on us
DeleteCriminals are roaming 'freely', and we need ICE to save us. Sure!
DeleteWhy can't the local police take care of it? Because Schnall, Reb Avigdor Miller, WZO, and the price increase at your babysitters'?
"A new $100 million, 16-story Chabad Campus for Jewish Life in Los Angeles will be among the largest in the world. donated by real estate professional Mr and Mrs. Alon Abady."
ReplyDeleteThe donor bought it in 2023 for $35 million. How did it become $100 million so fast? Seems he may have decided a tax deduction for $100 million via Chabad Lubavitch is worth more to him than an old building that needs a lot of work. And maybe other considerations.
At a 39% tax rate, a $100mm charitable contribution would save you $39mm in taxes.

ReplyDeleteMaligned R' Lang by very selfish, shortsighted fools who call them selves FRUM will soon see the Wrath of Trenton on the pure Evil they did to the Holy ,Selfless Mr Lang. He is EMES, the rest of you are pure Garbage and Evil
I have a question. How can it be that there around 5000 kids in the Lakewood Public School system? Where are they coming from? It seems to me that kids from out of Lakewood are enrolled.
ReplyDeleteindeed there are many from out of town, out of state and out of the US, and WE pay for it ALL
DeleteI always see this and dont understand why anyone thinks this is true. Are Lakewood PS that much better than neighboring towns (e.g. Jackson, Howell, Manchester, TR, etc.) that they all flock to Lakewood PSs? They all cost the same ($0), so why would they shlep? When you say out of state do you mean that they are enrolling even so they live in PA and NY. There is no sechel in whoever spreads this.
DeleteThe Mexican students feel more comfortable there since 90% is Spanish they come from surrounding towns. Also you can have a few families living in a home so that costs more too
Delete100 percent - Lakewood PS caters to the Spanish speaking kids/parents.
DeleteState to takeover Lakewood board of ed, go ahead keep on voting for democrats!
ReplyDeleteWhat! Wait!....They're building a housing city in Jackson and you think it's wonderful that 146 acres are being preserved? What about the hundreds of acres that they're knocking down to build this disaster?
ReplyDelete146 acres preserved is much Better than ZERO acres in most developments and this particular site is in Howell, where they try to Develop with Foresight and some Intelligence
DeleteWhose getting the Wells Fargo building now that the town bought it with taxpayers money for 3 million?
ReplyDeleteWill the LIC make a "partnership with a developer" keep an eye on this. This is how its done.
Since the Vaad backed Murphy and they are backed by Daas Torah I am confident that Murphy would not do anything that would hurt the average Yossel in Lakewood so I am fine with this.
ReplyDeleteThe also backed every bad politician in this county
Deleteeasy Math, $1.00 back to Taxpayers, and$ 2,99,999.00 in the hands of the Ultra Greedy Chazairim
ReplyDeleteBuddy, slow down and chill out.
DeleteJust regular greedy chazairim.
No reason to add "ultra".
we're talking UBER ch
DeleteTime to vote the incumbents out!! They have been there forever and have run the town into the ground. Unchecked approvals at planning and zoning board (appointed by the twp committee). Our taxes are ready to go super high. Out with the self appointed, self serving VAAD . We need new representation. Throw them all out.
ReplyDeleteThe state takeover is not a bad option now The state will pay up more so no need to borrow money and Avi Schnall has more control and the funding.
ReplyDeleteThe private schools will lose out though and expect tuitions to go up even more
Fwd: A proposed state takeover of the Lakewood public school system, supported by Assemblyman Avi Schnall, is being presented by backers as both a financial reset and a shift in where control is exercised, not a loss of Lakewood’s influence.
ReplyDeleteWith the Murphy administration moving to place Lakewood under direct state oversight, authority would shift from the local Board of Education to Trenton, following an expected Order to Show Cause from Education Commissioner Kevin Dehmer.
Supporters say the key benefit is funding. State control would allow Lakewood to access direct state aid, debt restructuring, and stable long term support, replacing years of emergency loans. Similar takeovers in Newark, Paterson, Jersey City, and Camden brought significant state investment and budget stability.
Advocates argue that Lakewood is not truly giving up control. With Schnall holding influence over state funding decisions, they say authority is simply shifting to the level of government where Lakewood’s representative now has real leverage. Once the state assumes responsibility, increased funding is framed as a state obligation, not special treatment.
Lakewood’s unique burden, educating about 5,000 public school students while transporting tens of thousands of private school students under state mandates, has overwhelmed local finances. Supporters say state control aligns responsibility with funding.
For backers, the takeaway is clear. The takeover consolidates control and funding in one place, giving Lakewood a more stable path forward while keeping its interests represented at the state level.
Meanwhile, educational outcomes in Newark Paterson Jersey City and Camden are terrible.
DeleteAnd (state) costs are skyrocketing and innefective.
Districts all over the state will look very closely at Lakewood management, to make sure they get the same amount of state aid.
So Schnall is almost moshiach. The state is not going to help us. We are messed up . Taxes are going up and up, get ready
ReplyDeleteYep. Like Shabtzai tzvi
