Pray all you want. No way to get rid of AI. Filtering and banning etc only worked for so long. An entirely different approach is now necessary.
ReplyDeleteBH there are solutions. Safecell already has phones with AI blocked and constantly updated by TAG. From what I hear, Safecell is very involved in helping to find solutions (as they have been in the past with technology issues). They are very much on top of these things (they may have even been at this meeting).
DeleteContrary to the hype AI is not a new entity but rather a Improvement on the existing technology at some point the old technology will no longer be available same thing like broadband and one way or another everything will be AI or it's next iteration SI. It is rather shortsighted to just try to ban every new step of the inevitable March

DeleteHere's the problem. Any kid can go to walmart, buy a used laptop for $100, go to the library or any other place with free WIFI, and download an ocean of inappropriate materials. TAG cannot change human behavior.
As long as we insist that Bochurim must delay marriage past what biology and the Shulchan Aruch dictates, we are guaranteeing that a large percentage of Bochurim will become addicts. It's that simple.
2:15 - Even if they can only push it off a few years, is it not worth it?
Delete2:22 - yes, people can do whatever they want. But there is still value in helping those who don't want to do aveiros to keep away.
@229
DeleteLet's say that there is a company which sets up shop in Lakewood and starts advertising and selling motorcycle helmets for Bochurim. I think most people wouldn't be OK with it.
The reason people wouldn't be OK with it is that people shouldn't be on motorcycles in the first place, and by selling motorcycle helmets you are a) implying that motorcycles are safe and b) that helmets offer sufficient protection, when they don't.
When you push filters on Bochurim who should be married, you are a) implying that being single is safe and b) that filters offer sufficient protection, when they don't.
Pushing filters, like pushing motorcycle helmets, offers a false sense of security.
Many kids discover access to shmutz at a much younger age than even you would want them to be married. And marriage is absolutely not a cure or prevention.
DeleteI would want them to get married young enough that those situations could be avoided. Marriage doesn't guarantee anything. But it is the most important protection.
DeleteTwo weeks late and counting . .
ReplyDeleteWouldn't AI be less dangerous than regular Internet, if anything? Major AI platforms won't generate explicit content, so what exactly is the issue? It seems a bit like Ger selling a GPS device with a special hechsher or the people smashing up Rav Kav stations at shuls in Israel purely because they have screens.
ReplyDeleteThey can call a live phone chat on AI and have a full relationship with a AI robot.
Deleteanyone fighting the Zionists has a tremendous zchus, its the ultimate mitzva to fight zera Amalek, I wish I had this zchus.

DeleteIs this guy an Arab who comes onto this site to spew shtussim like that?
DeleteReally? You wish you were dead from an incident of blocking a bus at a hafgana? Are you for real?
AI is replacing the Rabbonim that's why they r getting so nervous
ReplyDeleteAI is not replacing the Rabbonim. Rabbonim are not getting nervous
DeleteRabbonim are rightfully concered because AI is a serious problem affecting our pure youth.
AI is replacing doctors, therapists, and inane internet commenters too.
DeleteBut Rabbanim's job is for the intellectually advanced, and those people will always be able to tell the difference between AI and real intelligence.

ReplyDeleteTariffs on foreign goods are paid by the American receivers of those goods. The tariff money comes from inside your country, not from outside it. (A tariff is essentially a tax.) Trump's statement is nonsense.
