The coalition also condemned the silence of leadership and what it described as incitement against a significant segment of Klal Yisrael who follow the guidance of their leaders. Tell the boys not to stand in front of traffic. It’s dangerous. That’s what I tell my children.
ReplyDeleteThe reaction to and reporting on the death of this bochur by segments of the frum American media was obnoxious and despicable, on a level we have not seen before. It is the direct result of a relentless campaign against yirei Hashem, a campaign that has polluted so-called “frum” websites and social media platforms.
ReplyDeleteThis constant incitement has indoctrinated a gullible American frum readership to harbor reflexive hatred toward anything labeled “Peleg” or anything adjacent to it without thought, without nuance, and without yiras Shamayim.
We have become a society that, had we witnessed Moshe Rabbeinu killing the Mitzri, would have instinctively sided with the Mitzri.
That is how distorted our moral compass has become.
It is a disgraceful moment in Jewish history that such thinking has become normalized, accepted, and even celebrated in circles that still dare to call themselves frum.
Ok, name change. No longer 'Eitz', it's now 'peleg'. Then it changed to 'yirei Hashem'.
DeleteThey were never trees, they weren't 'half' and they aren't yirei Hashem.
They were a politician who lost his job in a newspaper cynically taking advantage of children's natural exuberance to make them stray from Torah to thuggery.
It's not Yiras Shamayim, it's not Kanna'us, it is not Rav Shach's derech, and it is not viable.
The Whatsapp group known as the Coalition for Charedi Rights should hang their heads in shame.
ReplyDeleteIf indeed many demonstrators have been struck by drivers, why haven't they stopped their demonstrations? If they knew about the dangers, why was nobody warned?
