  1. At the trial on June 9, 2019 the State put the then Assistant Commissioner (now Commissioner) on the stand.
MR. LANG: Q What is the State doing to try to get those expenditures lower?
MR. DEHMER: A There’s a State monitor in the District.
Q Well, what is the Department doing? After all this money’s hopefully coming from the State.
A I think the -- the State monitor in conjunction with -- working with the District of course is -- looks -- reviews each budget. So there’s a plan laid out by the State monitor, which I believe my deputy could speak in more detail about, but that’s -- the process is to analyze all

I called Mr. Azzara and Mr. Shafter to the stand. Both testified that the formula needs to be changed. As for Mr. Dehmer's deputy, he took the stand on the last day of the trial.

Judge Scarola asked Deputy Assistant Commissioner Forney, “[I]f there’s any end game here, without continually raising the amount that Lakewood gets [borrows]. Assuming everything stayed the same.” Forney, who supervises the state monitors, answered, “We’re just going by year by year at this point.” A L

No amount of mismanagement could account for the necessity to borrow $100 million a year. I had been requesting town leaders to politically stand behind us since 2014 to create statewide awareness of the failure of the formula because of the State's continuing reaching into its bottomless pit of political (and legal-particularly delay) tricks will certainly now have the legislature convinced that it is a local problem.

After we won on the T & E claim in 2023, the Senate leaders asked Commissioner McMillan how much money does she need for Lakewood. The Commissioner basically said, hold on, we are not finished litigating. Seems like our legislative delegation was not paying attention.

The further the can was kicked down the road, the lesser will have the state paid. All those loans were funding we should have received, but now have to pay back. If the SC won't hear the case because Dehmer convinces it that a State takeover changes the merits and we are prevented from returning to court for years in order to see the outcome, we will be a billion dollars in debt to the state for funds it should have been paying. 1. Jackson and toms river too. Maybe it's worth including them in the case so that the case can continue.

    2. The case is at the SC. If they decide to hear the case those other districts can send in amicus briefs.

    3. amicus is worthless.
anyway, it doesn't give them any rights to the fiscal results.
in fact, most districts in NJ are opposed to any money for Lakewood, cause it's at their expense. (don't really blame them.)

"Yahrzeit seudah"? What type of hybrid creation is that?

Why don't they already call it a Hillula and add music and dancing, if they are already making Rav Hirsch into a Chasidishe Rebbe?

A Yahrzeit in מסורת אשכנז is a time for introspection, fasting, learning, visiting kever....not feasting and celebrating.
