- This week’s Voice of Lakewood featured an article interviewing several construction industry owners who have seen their businesses severely impacted after ICE agents arrested some of their employees in Lakewood. In many cases, workers were detained or deported, resulting in a tremendous loss of labor and disruption to ongoing projects.
Some of the arrests reportedly stemmed from relatively minor infractions, such as driving without a license or older DWI-related offenses. The article highlights how, under Trump-era–style enforcement policies now being felt even in  The trumpiest  town in New Jersey, both employers and workers are suffering. Business owners say these policies are hurting the construction industry, while workers are increasingly afraid to leave their homes or go to job sites, creating fear, instability, and economic strain throughout the community.

- Trump Cuba lived, for many years, on large amounts of OIL and MONEY from Venezuela. In return, Cuba provided “Security Services” for the last two Venezuelan dictators, BUT NOT ANYMORE! Most of those Cubans are DEAD from last weeks U.S.A. attack, and Venezuela doesn’t need protection anymore from the thugs and extortionists who held them hostage for so many years. Venezuela now has the United States of America, the most powerful military in the World (by far!), to protect them, and protect them we will. THERE WILL BE NO MORE OIL OR MONEY GOING TO CUBA - ZERO! I strongly suggest they make a deal, BEFORE IT IS TOO LATE. Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DJT

- Former New Jersey Governor and state Senator Richard "Dick" Codey has passed away at the age of 79.

    1. can someone post a list of all urgent cares in the lakewood area.

    2. Some of the primary care opened their own urgent cares, so they cut into the market. And then some visiting urgent cares did home visits so that cut into it further. Pediatric affiliates opened their own urgent care in Gourmet Glatt Plaza 1700 Madison Avenue.
Chemed opened up their urgent cares.

      https://www.premierassist.com/lakewood does house calls

https://theritecare.com/ also does home visits - I believe they are affiliated with Chemed.

  4. With all due respect after seeing the actual video this boy was caught up most probably unintentionally with a a group of boys behaving wildly we need to learn some Stern lessons so this type of behavior should not be repeated this type of behavior does not bring a kiddush sheim shamayim or any benefit to the cause which they were protesting. Sometimes the truth needs to be told

    2. It's mostly advertising but there is also the free gemara incentive. They need funding to keep that going.
The shiur has hired an artist, video editor and also several people who work with AI videos. They all work full time.
I have moved on from the shiur but the shiur is geared for those who fell off the bandwagon of Torah after leaving yeshiva. Something is needed to get them back interested in learning.

    4. If you ever watch his shpiel (which I generally don’t) you’d see that he has a lot of shtick going, which is part of the big attraction to keep his oylam entertained and learning b’kvius. All that costs a pretty penny.

    2. driving without a license is a serious crime. it takes money from government that politicians can spend without reporting to the electorate (otherwise known as a slush fund.)

  7. Why do people get so upset if you mention anything about rabbi shachter from YU? If it would be up to him every Yeshiva bochur in the US should go to college, and every Yeshiva buffer in Israel should join the army. RL! is this our hashkafa? How can we trust him to run the OU???

    1. OK. You are more than welcome to stop relying on OU. In fact you may not even be allowed to rely on it anymore because you don't believe it is reliable hechser. Have fun making almost everything from scratch because even the heimeshe hechserim rely on the OU.

    2. Of every bachur went to college and knew half of what R Schachter knows?
It would be a net gain for Torah !

  9. ICE is here and it seems to stay that way for the immediater future. If people dont like the laws of the government then change it. That is why we have eelections. If the power in power is making changes that is because the people put them there to make changes. I am fed up with all the cryingabout ICE , these are the laws . If you want to come in come in legally. ICE is doing what the law permits them to do.

  10. Agreed since so many other hechshairim depend on the OU, since R Belski passing itis encumdant on us to put in there a NEW YOSHAIV ROSH who is a true Ben Torah with good Torah True hashgachas
