  1. “Reusable” bags are apparently utilized only a handful of times on average (2-3 instances) before being trashed by consumers which means they’re not doing much to combat “climate change.” Quite the opposite, in fact. Meanwhile, retailers are making a major mint. During 2022 alone, New Jersey retailers averaged eye-popping 60-70% profit margins on the sale of the incorrectly-named reusable bags. A batch of fifty stores analyzed by Freedonia cumulatively profitted to the tune of $42 million from selling bags.

    1. Gourmet glatt was paying approx .10 a bag for their old bags. These are not that much more, but we have to pay for them. BTW nj allows you to give out reusable bags for free.

  2. Maybe the next step will be cotton or other cloth tote bags. They certainly won't be discarded so quickly and have no plastic in their processing.

  3. Rabosai, I need to get this klar: We support Trump's explicit claim on Truth Social that the President has COMPLETE IMMUNITY to do whatever crimes he wants, even if HE CROSSES A LINE, right?

    1. It's a problem. Tell us who is your alternative candidate

    2. Who pays attention to what is written on Truth Social? The only time I ever see anything about it is when Trump's enemies claim he said something there. Did he really say it or are they distorting it I don't know. I'm not getting involved in street fights when the two sides are both so horrible.

    3. It's "a problem?" The guy openly declares he can do whatever he wants as president, and that's just a problem? Wow, you're very forgiving.

Alternatives? Lots. Desantis, Haley, Christie,..No Labels, whoever they put up...

    4. Who mentioned candidates? The question is, does he have immunity or not?

    5. "Who pays attention to what is written on truth social?" So, you mean to say: who cares what the frontrunner candidate for the US president says day in and day out. You could not bury your head deeper in the sand if you tried.

    6. Lol. You should be a Republican in Congress, "oh I didn't see that tweet, I don't know what you're talking about..."

    7. You can get just as hysterical reading some pro Trump site claiming that Biden or his handlers allegedly said this or did that. Both sides are horrible , horrible people and I'm not getting emotionally involved in either one. Or the dangers of their reelection. Remember the hysterical screaming in The New York Times the day after he got elected back in 2016 about the intense danger of Trump having the nuclear codes and their predictions he would set them off one night. Did that happen? No. The world was a far more peaceful when he was president. And then there was their hysterical collusion about the Russian collusion... and then the hysterical screaming about... whatever

    8. To answer your original question, what Trump's lawyers claim in court in his defense is irrelevant. He has the right to the most vigorous defense money can buy. The only thing that matters to us is Trump's policies as president. And we all support his policies 100%.
      Nice try, resident Trump hater.
(Personally I hope they convict Trump and sentence him to 900 years in jail. And if that happens he will win in a landslide. Looking forward...)

    9. You're not following the conversation, buddy. The quote isn't from Trump's lawyers in a courtroom. It's from Trump himself on truth social. Being out of the loop does help being totally in the tank for trump though.

    10. What a coincidence - I also hope trump gets sentenced to 900 years! I'm not sure though why you think the Dems won't steal the election in that scenario. They did it last time when out of power, it'll be much easier for them this time.

Piece of personal advice to you. Don’t follow the news so carefully. To quote Rav Avigdor Miller from fifty years ago when the newspapers were a lot more honest and tame than the media is now, “If you want peace of mind, don’t read the newspapers! They are going to fill your head with all sorts of problems that you otherwise never would have heard of but now can do nothing about, they are going to tell you that is this candidate gets elected all sorts of tragedies will follow etc.” While I agree that it is important to be informed, even so if you are going to get as personally emotionally invested in the news as you seem to be then you are better off in the dark.

    12. What does the constitution say? Your personal feelings does not change what is written! As his lawyer said, if you impeach a president and remove him from office than you can charge a president. Just because it sounds crazy doesn’t mean that isn’t the process written in the constitution. You can’t argue m’svara - well for public opinion you apparently can, as the dems are doing..
