Israel At War Monday January 1

Israel at war day 87

- IDF kills Hamas commander who helped lead Oct. 7 attacks

- Access to a busy terminal at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport was restricted Monday as pro-Palestinian and anti-Israel protesters converged on the airport for the second time in a week

-Another soldier killed in Gaza
Amichai Israel Yehoshua Oster,24  from the Shomron

- Sadly since the beginning of the war 11 soldiers were killed in accidents and 18 by friendly fire according to reports

- IDF strikes Hezbollah cell preparing to launch drones from southern Lebanon

- “Israel has destroyed 70% of residential buildings in #Gaza after launching 29,000 rockets and shells upon them. The devastation inflicted upon the Gaza Strip resembles what occurred in Germany during World War II” according to the WSJ

- Kibbutz Be’eri announces that Ilan Weiss, who has been considered missing since the Hamas-led massacres on October 7, was killed in the assault on his community.

- The IDF’s Home Front Command is preparing to allow the return of displaced civilians from some Gaza border communities, beginning with those that are between four and seven kilometers from the Strip. The IDF believes rockets will continue to be launched from the Gaza Strip at the southern towns, and therefore nobody will be forced to return at this stage of the plan

  2. Shame on the WSJ. They are comparing vastly different things. Gaza is about 1/1000 of the area of Germany. It is a small enclave, full of terrorists, while Germany was/is (it lost territory after WWII) a large country. Check online if you don't believe me.

In general, unfortunately the WSJ has slipped and is printing propaganda against Israel at times lately. While its editorials have been pretty good, from what I have seen, its news section is messing up.
