-  Israel covid numbers: 5,140 new cases of COVID-19 have been diagnosed since midnight, according to data published by the Ministry of Health on Monday evening. The positive test rate was 3.9%. 373 patients are hospitalized in serious condition and 82 of them are on ventilators. The total number of hospitalized patients is 600. 14 people have died of the virus since Sunday, and 78 people have died from the virus since the beginning of August.

- The CDC, US Gov warned on Monday (Aug 9) against travel to Israel, France, Thailand, Iceland and several other countries because of a rising number of Covid-19 cases in those nations. Israel health ministry reported over 5000  new covid cases today

-Murphy critic on Twitter:  Responding to the gov who said There are 13 kids with COVID currently being treated in our hospitals. Two are in intensive care. 

"4 kids in the hospital in NJ for/with Covid. There are 2 Million kids under the age of 18 in NJ. Thats a rate of 1 in every 500k kids, or a rate of 0.2 per 100k. That's pandemic lows for the state. Hagaon Harav Avraham Dov Auerbach, zt”l, Rav of Teveria, was niftar on Monday morning, at the age of 86. The Levaya will ne in Teveria this afternoon Harav Auerbach was the son of Posek Hador Harav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach, zt”l. After the passing of his father-in-law, more than 40 years ago, he was appointed Av Beis Din of Teveria, and had great influence on religious life in the city when he fought fiercely for the war of Shabbos and the kashrus system under his responsibility.
