  2. We have heard so much about Kent Rd opening tomorrow. Almost like the Vermont St extension from Locust to Rt 70, that was opened with big fanfare, yet remains closed. And can we talk about Oberlin and Cedarbridge where there was an "emergency" to make a left turn lane, yet 2 years later it remains under construction, with no activity. And how about the park for the corner of James/Cross that the Mayor promised 3 years ago?

    1. If it fails, it's a county issue. If it works, it's his credit. If there are complaints, he'll look into it. But we golems reelect him. It's our blame.

  4. The collapse of Afghanistan is remarkable. The US military has at its disposal $100,000,000,000s, untold numbers of troops in many divisions, unmatched military power, numerous varied intelligence agencies etc etc. The president, the generals, the intelligence chiefs all confidently assured us that no collapse would occur, and approved the pullout.

And now they are shown, at best, to be dunderheads. All the expertise, all the training, all the arrogant, confident assessments - its all baloney. Its on full display for all to see - with all the power and resources they have, they're nothing but dundeheads.

The logical question now is: How much confidence should we have in the expertise and compitence of other parts of government? For example, the CDC and other US medical agencies: Although they confidently present themselves at experts on everything from virus treatments to vaccines, could it be likely that they, too, are merely puffed up dunderheads?

  5. The reason is, money doesn't win wars. It is a stupid American arrogance that their army is the greatest in the world, totally invincible.

But you have no better option in this country, there is no shadow government of competent people.

And, medicine and warfare are in no way similar. Warfare is guesswork, medicine can be replicated in a lab. Big difference.

    1. Yet they promised that vaccines work against the delta variant, yet it doesn't. The government continues to lie to the masses. We've labeled Trump supporters and vaccine questioners as terrorist. We should be very afraid.

    2. "Money dosen't win wars"

Another glittering example of liberal ignorance on display. Napoleon already said one needs three things to win war: money ,money and money.

The mess in Ahganistahn is government incompetence; and so is the mess in theCDC.

    3. Nobody promised that it would work against the Delta variant. But they thought it would be likely. And it is helping, lowering the death rate considerably.

  6. Let's not forget that Trump started the troop withdrawal from Afghanistan. Easy for Trump to condemn Biden now, when he was the one who began the whole process. The outcome would not have been any different with Trump as president. Republicans and Democrate, a plague on both houses! Our govt. is now led by low level incompetents on both sides.

    1. For many years, American soldiers were getting killed in Afghanistan
Many more Taliban terrorists were killed as well. But since President Trump threatened the Taliban, they did not shoot at any American soldiers. Trump was pulling out from a place of strength. The Biden puppeteers ran out in middle of the night, literally. They abandoned air bases in middle of the night.

    2. Plus, Trump would have had more brains than just pulling out and leaving everything behind. He said clearly that before leaving, they would have blown up all the bases and equipment and not left them there for these terrorists to take. Also, the Taliban knew that Trump was not messing around and if they make problems, Trump will just pound them like he did with Soleimani but they are not afraid of Biden at all.

  7. " Napoleon already said one needs three things "
a glittering example of another fellow however well-meaning who gleaned a nugget or two completely out of context

Napoleon said many things such as morale to matériel ie money
    is 3:1
