Updated: New Jersey’s rules on masking and other restrictions will remain in place at least for now as Gov. Phil Murphy administration reviews updated federal guidance. PA and other states are adopting the CDC guidelines.
Following the new guidance from the CDC that fully Vaccinated Americans now may go without masks in most places President Biden tweets "The rule is now simple: get vaccinated or wear a mask until you do".
NYT reports The new advice comes with caveats. Even vaccinated individuals must cover their faces and physically distance when going to doctors, hospitals or long-term care facilities like nursing homes; when traveling by bus, plane, train or other modes of public transportation, or while in transportation hubs like airports and bus stations; and when in prisons, jails or homeless shelters. conference earlier in the day, Dr. Rochelle P. Walensky, the C.D.C. director, warned that unexpected twists in the pandemic could require the C.D.C. to once again amend the guidance. Fully vaccinated people who develop symptoms should still use masks and get tested, she said. At this point, if I don't vaccinate I'm hurting myself, so it's my choice, and he shouldn't be forcing me.
DeleteHe never even claimed that wearing a mask will stop you hurting yourself. He is demanding you wear a mask so you don't hurt others.

ReplyDeleteThis is all moot in NJ. Governor Murphy says he is still analyzing the science and we still have to mask OUTSIDE until he tells us it's safe!
