LFD Budget Hearing for $9 Million

The Lakewood Fire District will hold a public hearing today January 11, 2020 6:45pm prior to the regular meeting  to adopt the 2021 budget of approximate $9 million dollars. in 2017 the budget was $5 million. The initial budget this year is $8.2 million plus an additional $650,000 of capital expenses that were approved by in person voting last month. A copy of the  Budget has not ben made available to the  public on the FD website but only available upon request that had to have been made 7 days prior to the meeting tomorrow January 11, 2020.

 PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 1, Township of Lakewood, County of Ocean, State of New Jersey, will hold a public hearing on the approved 2021 District budget pursuant to N.J.S.A. 40A:14-78.2 on Monday, January 11, 2021, at 6:45 p.m. at the Office of the Board of Fire Commissioners, 733 Cedar Bridge Avenue, Lakewood, New Jersey. At said date, time and place the Board intends to adopt the approved 2021 District budget. All taxpayers of the District and
persons having an interest therein shall be given an opportunity to ask questions and to present objections. A complete copy of the approved 2021 District budget shall be available to each person requesting same seven (7) days preceding the public hearing from the Office of the Board of Fire Commissioners, 733 Cedar Bridge Avenue, Lakewood, New Jersey, between the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or by requesting same via email at ybeer@lakewoodfd.org. Face coverings and social distancing will be required. Formal action may be taken. By authorization of the Board of Fire Commissioners of Fire District No. 1, Township of Lakewood.
