Facebook Admits "made a mistake” Censoring hydroxychloroquine saves lives.

Facebook just announced it “made a mistake” when it censored studies showing hydroxychloroquine saves lives.

Dr. Simone Gold on Twitter:  Facebook just announced it “made a mistake” when it censored studies showing HCQ saves lives. Censorship is never “a mistake.”  Tech executives repeatedly made a calculated decision, month after month, silencing physicians worldwide.

This comes as news of a study released by Hackensack Meridian Health of NJ Hydroxychloroquine  says that the drug use  shows a lower rate of hospitalization compared to those not treated.

Facebook’s Oversight Board Overturns Some Content Decisions in First Rulings

The post: A user implied that a French agency wasn’t authorizing hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin for the treatment of COVID-19, even though it was “harmless” and could be a cure. The post was originally removed for spreading COVID-19 misinformation that this drug cocktail could cure the virus.

The decision: The board determined that since these drugs require a prescription in France, the misinformation could only cause minimal harm. The board ruled to restore the post and suggested that Facebook should fix how it approaches misinformation, such as correcting it instead of removing it.

  3. Biden is in office so now they reveal the truth.

Which means they were willing to kill tens of thousands to get Trump out of office.
Yet some still believe the natrative that comes from the government/media/medical establishment regarding this epidemic.

  4. I am so made that they let people die, instead of administering the HCQ treatment.
Anything to take President Trump down and to line their pockets with pharmaceutical $$$.

    4. This article reported by CBS, unfortunately, deal with the efficacy of HCQ. It deals with an example of Facebook censoring a false but innocuous assertion about a third party.

    1. The study with this link has identified that the figures that were able to analyze showed a small benefit for a group of people who were administered HCQ. The conclusion was not that there was definite proof that widespread administration of HCQ would be beneficial but that there was justification for much more extensive research.

  8. Can we please get a class action lawsuit against facebook and twitter for the deaths that could have been prevented but they took it upon themselves to censor it anyway. Let make them feel it deep into their pockets and let them learn a lesson as to why they shouldn't have any control to censor information they know nothing about.

  9. they lied, despite the fact that the lies were murdering people. And it is no huge mystery how the scam worked. HCQ showed clear benefit in hundreds of studies as EARLY treatment to prevent hospitalization---and little to no benefit once hospitalized as a late stage treatment. Every establishment sycophant who lied about this knew they were strawmanning it, making statements about late stage treatment when all the docs using it knew it was for early treatment. It doesn't require more research to figuree out that this strawman BS was used despite it resulting in needless deaths.
