  2. I have asked shailos to all 4 poskim over the years and have utmost respect for them. But they should realize that people lose faith when rabbonim say they are changing a psak for cryptic reasons such as the one given here. Let them be completely open and honest as to what led them to change their psak in such a short time.

    1. JS - What is your issue?! Obviously some situational factors changed which gave reason for an updated psak.

Honestly, you come across as very shallow-minded. Learn to have more emunas chachamim. You could use the zechusim.

    2. What are the “downsides” they are referring to?

    3. It's not fair to demand the Poskim say out loud that Aaron lied to them.

The Rishon Letzion, Israeli Sefardi Chief Rabbi Rav Yitzchok Yosef sharply attacked those who have permitted making minyanim via people located on porches.

“These people who have permitted it, have they seen the Chikrei Lev? Have they seen the Eliyahu Rabbah? Did they see what the Vilna Gaon says? It’s a big machlokes.”

“Whoever says chazaras hashatz, Birkas Kohanim, and Birkas Hatorah in this fashion is reciting brachos levatalah.”

“A person who hears a Kaddish through porches, it’s a shailah whether he should answer amein. The same with regard to Kedusha. But to take out a Sefer Torah or to say Birkas Kohanim is forbidden

    1. Reb Moshe Shternbuch - who is not supported by the Z... - is matir. So are many many other poskim. No need to shop for p'sakim that suit your pre-set ideas.

    2. R'Shternbuch Tshuva would assur many of the minyanim I know of. It would only work in very limited areas of Lakewood.

  5. Some doctors came out very strongly against the porch minyanim did anyone verify whether this letter is forged?.
This is insane let's wait until this mageifa is over especially when everyone is still saying that it's dangerous.

  6. What does the chief Posek and Dayan Reb Shloima Shlit'a have to say about this ??
His signature is blatantly MISSING ?? It would seem that he does NOT agree to this "adjustment.

  7. Mendil: Get a chill and stop judging.
Maybe emunas chachomim chazal who stress the importance of being dan lekaf zechus are also very important. Why call a yid shallow minded. You can then be labeled narrow minded. We are allowed to vent our frustration. Emunas chachomim does not mean holding your head in down in the sand.

  8. The robo call by a doc on Friday was condescending calling people stupid and accusing everyone of not abiding by the rules. This is not the way to treat the Lakewood tzibbur ever specifically during these challenging times.
