  1. People are attempting suicide all over New Jersey !
Askonim need to stop making things worse !
    Open our Parks !
Open whatever it’s safe and legal to do !

  2. Why is the askanim and doctors (as per other posts on other days) to blame??? They do not call the shots, nor is their opinion valued for the decisions, it is the government!!!

  3. Alit of youngeleit have no access to the internet and don't know about the pesach box

    1. They can't afford the deluxe shabbos box either

  4. Many things are still legal.
Ex. It Is Legal to bring children into stores , yet Askonim don’t let.
The Askonim created Aivah by over building Lakewood for twenty years !
We begged them to stop .
    They never listened .
Now the Askonim are causing suicide.

    1. You mean money hungry builders and the residents who willingly bought the houses despite knowing these crowded- dead end developments made no sense.

      Delete
    2. No askanim, that control the zoning and planning boards and approved it. The people that live there have not many other choices. Anything they would try to buy they would be outbid by a builder who will put 3 duplexes there and get it approved by formentioned askanim

    3. Zoning changes were made in co-ordination with developers years before developments started. There is mo requirement to notify residents before voting on zoning changes, only for abatement, and even then, only the few immediate neighbors.

Vine street zoning was changed 2 years prior to any development. The same with Prospect St. and many others including route 9. No one had any clue what was going on because these zoning changes were made prior to the over-0development and the publicizing of Township and Committee meetings. by the time the public was aware, it was too late, and even then, the township handed out variances on top of that like candy.

Look what happened on Cross St. That occurred after people knew what was going on. Residents turned out in droves to oppose, yet the zoning committee still approved it.

    4. Actually, there is a requirement to notify the public within 200 feet of the proposed zoning changes. Developers have actually overturned ordinances that they didn't like by using that excuse. They need to go to court, so you need lots of money, hence why only the developers do it.

  6. Legal should not be the issue. We need to be more machmir than the government in health and safety, not less. We may not remove any part of the Torah, we are not reform Jews, and we shouldn’t let our long beards decide halacha

  7. Basically a worthless way of helping people as you remain responsible to pay the premium. Horizon BCBSNJ is offering you an extra one-month emergency grace period should you be unable to make your premium payments for health and/or dental coverage. Horizon will not terminate your policy for nonpayment of premium. However, you remain responsible to repay the premiums.

  8. The govt boe township can take our tax money and spend it like water including perks bennefits for themselves but someone getting lunch for their child must sign that he wont take an extra apple or slice of bread!!!

    ReplyDelete

    1. Well said!! The taxpayer should keep on paying taxes while the BOE and the township committee make sure nobody can take an extra lunch. Where is all the money going??

      Delete
    2. The reason people need to sign for lunch is because people were taking 12 or more lunches and the rest of us would wait 30 - 40 minutes only to come away with nothing because there was none left. Making people sign and making them have some achrayus to the others who waited for nothing is a good thing.

  9. Such anger and cynicism towards any attempt to help out during this time! I understand that everyone is frustrated, but there are programs that are trying to help out. They can't be perfect and they can't take away this horrible mageifa. But any help is appreciated, even if it doesn't take away all your problems. The askanim (whom I complained about alot before) didn't create this mageifa, but are trying to alleviate some problems. And I am certainly happy they aren't opening up playgrounds!! Can you imagine that children will keep social distancing while playing? Can you imagine all children touching the same playground equipment?

  13. The Mesira against frum Jews De Blasio by activist has fanned the flames of hate against the community. Thousands violated social distancing lining the river Bank in NYC to watch the blue Angels and Thunderbirds no one said boo. But when a levaya got a little out of control the mayor opened his mouth.
