Bagatz Blocks Autopsies of Infants

The Bagatz High Court of Justice on Tuesday put a stop to the plan to conduct autopsies on the two infants who were niftar in Monday’s terrible daycare tragedy in Yerushalayim, according to Israeli media reports. The authorities had pushed for autopsies, saying the exact cause of death has not yet been clearly established.
However, the famalies of the two infants filed a petition with the High Court to block the move, after a Yerushalayim Magistrate’s Court judge ruled that under certain circumstances, there is room within Jewish law  to permit an autopsy in order to uncover a criminal or to clear a criminal suspicion

Ahead of the court’s decision, rabbonim from the Eidah HaChareidis called for mass hafganos in several cities against nituchei masim. Supporters answered the call, blocking major thoroughfares. During one of the demonstrations in Yerushalayim a 15-year-old protester was struck by a vehicle minutes before a High Court hearing. The teen remained conscious but suffered head and limb injuries and was evacuated to Shaare Zedek Hospital in moderate condition.

  1. As autopsies weren't going to happen anyway (with all the protests & probably already weren't necessary),they slyly grabbed this wedge issue to regain for themselves a slick pretense of impartial standing

  2. One second - there was no connection between the hafganos and the blocking of the autposies. There was never a chance that the hafganos would work. Yet someone was hurt. Will the organizers of the hafganos, for once in their lives, take responsibility for this story? How long will we suffer from them?

    1. The Dati-Leumi world also had a hafgana yesterday (of course not covered on HV) and no one was hurt.
      Perhaps their education is better.

    4. 'having to serve'?? Which DL sector is behind it?
They ran to serve! Lemmings! They claimed it as their primary identity! Solution for their belated identity crisis is through corralling others in??

    5. It was demanding charedim serve, just like the rest of the country.

  3. The Planning Board Livestream isn't working tonight. The camera is zoomed in on an empty chair in the audience and the board members' & professional's microphones have been muted.
