Day 748
-Trump: Israel would ‘lose all of its support’ from the US if it annexed the West Bank
- Israel Prime Minister's Office: The vote in the Knesset on annexation was a deliberate political provocation by the opposition aimed at sowing discord during Vice President J.D. Vance's visit to Israel. Opposition Knesset members initiated both bills. The Likud party and the religious parties (the main coalition members) did not vote in favor of these bills, except for one disgruntled Likud member (Edelstein), who was recently removed from chairing a Knesset committee. Without Likud's support, these bills are not expected to go anywhere.
-Israel Finance Minister Smotrich retracts and apologizes: "My statement about Saudi Arabia was definitely not successful, and I regret the offense it caused. However, at the same time, I expect the Saudis not to harm us and not to deny the heritage, tradition, and rights of the Jewish people to their historical homelands in Judea and Samaria, and to establish true peace with us.
Trump interview in Time magazine
On applying sovereignty in Judea and Samaria: It won't happen because I gave my word to the Arab states. Israel will lose all support from the U.S. if it happens.
- VP Vance at Ben Gurion airport "We will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank, and we were not satisfied with this vote."
-Vance spoke against the vote on sovereignty in Judea and Samaria yesterday in the Knesset: It was strange, stupid, and we were offended by it
Vance also said at Ben Gurion Airport: "The whole purpose of the visit was to understand how to keep the peace and successfully move to phase 2. On the one hand, to ensure humanitarian aid and on the other hand to ensure that Hams does not threaten Israel. Despite all the problems and obstacles, we are in a good place - both sides respect the ceasefire. The idea in Gaza is to start building as soon as possible in areas where there is no Hams, the hope is to rebuild Rafah within 2-3 years.".
-Trump on the release of the murderer Barghouti to lead Gaza, Trump said: “They just talked to me about this fifteen minutes ago, I will decide on the matter.”
- Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich said Thursday that he wouldn’t agree to a normalization agreement with Saudi Arabia if it meant the establishment of a Palestinian state, disparagingly saying the Saudis could “keep riding camels.”
- US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Wednesday night that the Knesset’s move toward annexing the West Bank could threaten President Donald Trump’s plan to end the Israel-Hamas conflict in Gaza.
- The US and Israel are considering dividing Gaza into separate zones controlled by the IDF and Hamas, with reconstruction measures only occurring in the Israeli-controlled areas as a way to ensure Hamas disarms, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.
Big mighty Israel is fully under US control
ReplyDeleteUh yeah it's basically been like since 67 when France pulled support and even moreso from the YK war when US saved Israel
DeleteEY should become the 51st state of the USA. Everyone would be happy and Moshiach could come
ReplyDeleteWhat does one have to do with the other? You may as well just Daven for Mosiach and skip the imposable stage of Israel becoming the 51st state first. The has US only admitted territories under its control or contiguous land, and would certainly reject any other application to join the US. Otherwise every country in difficulty would have people suggesting to try to join the US and let them deal with it.
