Early Voting Begins in Lakewood

- Early voting in New Jersey begins tomorrow. In Lakewood, residents can cast their ballots throughout the week at the Township Municipal Building (Town Hall).
Unlike in previous election cycles, there has been little visible push within the community to encourage voter turnout. Notably, no public letters or ads have been released in the name of the rabbonim or roshei yeshiva emphasizing the importance or mitzvah of voting. Additionally, the Vaad has not yet issued its traditional pre-election letter endorsing candidates or guiding the community ahead of Election Day.

- Giyus Crisis: Growing Outrage as Yeshiva Bochurim Remain in Military Jail
In a dramatic show of solidarity, Yeshiva Ateres Shlomo arranged for a helicopter to fly over Prison 10 carrying a banner expressing support for the yeshiva bochur who was recently arrested. Currently, over 40 bnei yeshiva are being held in military jails, yet there has been little visible action or response from frum politicians or Knesset members.
Israeli media outlets have published editorials expressing outrage over the perceived complacency of the religious and political establishment while yeshiva students are being pulled from their homes by military police and detained for what many view as the “crime” of learning Torah. A large atzeres tefillah is reportedly being planned for next week, though details have not yet been finalized.

- The Lakewood Township Committee meeting held last night lasted just about 15 minutes, including five minutes of public comment. One resident spoke out regarding the state monitor’s ongoing control of the Board of Education. In response, the mayor stated that the Township Committee continues to support the board members.
Aside from that exchange, it was business as usual for the committee’s once-a-month virtual meeting, during which members approved tax abatements and authorized over $6 million for capital improvements just months after raising local taxes and receiving an additional $8 million from the state.

Meanwhile, The Lakewood Shopper newspaper, in its pre-election coverage, criticized the township’s current financial management, describing the committee as “fiscally irresponsible” and pointing to the community’s growing cost of living. The paper noted that if the township were a business, “it would be bankrupt.”

-Trump: CANADA CHEATED AND GOT CAUGHT!!!They fraudulently took a big buy ad saying that Ronald Reagan did not like Tariffs, when actually he LOVED TARIFFS FOR OUR COUNTRY, AND ITS NATIONAL SECURITY. Canada is trying to illegally influence the United States Supreme Court in one of the most important rulings in the history of our Country. Canada has long cheated on Tariffs, charging our farmers as much as 400%. Now they, and other countries, can’t take advantage of the U.S. any longer. Thank you to the Ronald Reagan Foundation for exposing this FRAUD. MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!!!
