This year, Simchas Torah in Lakewood was marked by rain through the night of Shemini Atzeres, but by day it cleaned up. At BMG, thousands gathered for Simchas Torah, with the Bais Aaron Bais Medrash packed wall to wall.

Special for this year, a high dais was constructed in front of the Aron Kodesh to honor the Roshei Yeshiva. Rav Malkiel Kotler Shlita was given the distinguished honor of Chosson Torah.

In addition, special memunim were appointed this year to ensure that any bochurim who were a bit tipsy remained outside.
