ReplyDeleteI’m no fan of Mamdani, but less than 6% of that is city taxes. The rest is Federal & State. Also, it only applies to top income earners.
ReplyDeleteIncorrect.
DeleteMamdani said he has no problem raising everyone's taxes by 2%, so if you earn 150,000, which is barely survival in NYC, you pay an additional $3,000 under mamdani.
DeleteThe guy who's entire life since high school has been about proactively hating Jews has plans to spend many, many more billions than NYC already overspends by raising everyone's taxes by many times 2% - by 30%. That's from taxes.
DeleteWasn't simchas Torah for celebrating the Torah and giving honor to the Torah not to any human being. Did Reb aharon also have a stage? Why not?
ReplyDeleteIt was probably put there so the roshei yeshiva that are not getting any younger bla'h should not get pushed by tipsy bachurim that weren't kicked out by the memunim
DeleteBecause in Reb Ahron's days there maybe 100 people there and now thousands come so there is much overcrowding. Are you really that stupid?
DeleteMore chareidi exceptionalism . .
ReplyDeleteCorrect
DeleteChareidim are truly exceptional
we will never serve the Zionists idol worshippers
ReplyDeleteAh the tziyonim again.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we all to contemplate this tasteless drinking, not by people who are dancing and celebrating but just drinking the sake of drinking totally missing on the essence and spirit of the day. Perhaps if we focused on the meaning of simchas Torah rather than on ourselves we would have less stages and less drinking and more joy and dancing (with some drinking too of course)
ReplyDeleteWake up call!
ReplyDeleteWhat’s So Bad About Mamdani? A History Lesson from the Mayor of Vienna]
https://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/general/2459923/op-ed-whats-so-bad-about-mamdani-a-history-lesson-from-the-mayor-of-vienna.html
1) It's extremely important to recognize the danger.
Delete2) It's extremely important to recognize that Hashem is sending us a message, just as He did with Carl Luger ימ"ש.
3) We need to internalize that message.
That article talks and talks and talks, but fails to make its point.
DeleteWhat is the practical downside of showing support to Mamdani? Yes, he is a terrible person. And you can repeat the dangers of his being mayor of NY forever. But that is not in our hands. What is in our hands is how we respond. Do we gain from declaring a senseless war? Did we gain when the revisionists declared war on Hitler? Do empty condemnations and harsh rhetoric help in the real world?
Those who don't know what questions to ask will end causing more damage than those who meet Mamdani.
A.Such shady style of deals is primarily what has brought upon us steadily to this present situation where are now,let the jerks Stop.Enough Already..
DeleteB To breaks ranks (by the very same guys who were shreiing the worst things how we must stop Mamdani a couple months ago whatever it takes) is chutzpah
To paraphrase: Our community! In her intercourse with politicians may she always be in the right; but our people, right or wrong,"
I'm old enough to remember when it was the RY who were tipsy while the bochurim weren't.
