- From Agudah chairman's take: Rabbi Sherer was a visionary, and the final message of his life is evidence. In the notes he prepared for the speech he planned to give at the Agudah dinner in May,1998, he mentioned a news item: a New York sports team was planning to build a massive new stadium. Others saw the same tidbit, but Rabbi Sherer clipped it, because, he wrote, "with Hashem's help, that stadium will serve us well when it hosts the Siyum HaShas." He was niftar several hours before that dinner, but the vision was realized. This week, we had yet another planning meeting for the upcoming Siyum HaShas, this one scheduled- with Hashem's help- for precisely two years from now, Rosh Chodesh Sivan 2027.

  2. Why is Agudah raining in on Adirei Hatorah parade they did not have to advertise the siyum and should have waited until after aadirei event

  3. This is why the askanim and vaad are playing with fire by supporting Gottheimer in a primary election.
There's a strong possibility that Trump will be coming to the Lakewood area to campaign for Jack Ciattarelli he knows that Lakewood support him over 90%
Will we spit him in the face and say sorry Mr. President we are voting for a Trump hating democrat nominee?
We were told by paid off askanim to vote Democrat we have no loyalty to our faith or beliefs..
    How will that look?
Do we need the spotlight of the entire country on us??

    1. It seems that you and many other commenters here are totally missing the boat.
We are being encouraged to vote for Gottheimer in the PRIMARIES, no one said anything about the general election.
This is to ensure that in the case that a Democrat will win the governor's race, which is pretty likely, it will be the lesser of the evil. If you research the other Democrat candidates, you'll see what I'm talking about.
Gottheimer is a Democrat, everyone knows that. No one expects him to be pro Trump or anti toeva

    2. No one missed the boat.
The vaad is going against Ciattarelli which is the natural choice of Lakewood voters.
The endorsement for Gottheimer means they hope to push him through over the top in the primaries and endorse him in the general over Ciattarelli.

Josh is against school vouchers and just as bad as other Democrat he's Phil Murphy 2.0 that did nothing to help the community and raised taxes making NJ unaffordable
The biggest joke is Democrat Gittheiner pretending to be a lowering taxes candidate

      NO ONE BELIEVES HIM

and there's a strong possibility that mikie Sherril or Fulop win and than the vaad burned bridges of the community by getting bought off by Josh

    3. Your claim against the Va'ad is not on what they did, but for what you believe they will do in the future.
Our Torah does not permit that.

    4. JB, explain why the vaad is pushing the "unaffiliated" to vote for Josh ?

      Delete
    5. @JB are you blinded by Gottheimers money or yiu are a paid vaad stooge.

Do you think that If Trump comes to Lakewood campaigns for Ciattarelli the community will say no thank you we are voting for the guy who hates you and your policies
we are voting for the guy who is against tuition vouchers
We are voting for someone who will bring shmutz into our classrooms
      Voting against G-D???
      Seriously??

    6. @1:18
I am not paid by the vaad, I get paid from Gottheimer campaign. $300 for every pro Gottheimer comment that I post on Hefkervelt.
You don't even have the seichel to understand my comment.
Voting for Gottheimer has nothing to do with Ciattarelli, I plan on voting for Gottheimer in the primaries and then for Ciattarelli in the general election. Voting for Gottheimer is only to keep the other democrat candidates off the ballot, hopefully

      Delete
    7. Encouraging voting for a Democrat in the primaries (even more the unaffiliated, or changing parties) is a call for spotlight chillul Hashem to agree that hasn't been in a while.

      Delete
    8. Let the vaad and adirei askanim say with a straight face they will support Ciattarelli in the general.
Ohh they won't cuz they want a Democrat to give them money that won't trickle down to the rest of Lakewood
but this attempt to use the Jewish community to manipulate a general election is a chilul Hashem of epic proportions and התגרות באומות
We are in danger from paid off askanim and their corrupt lapdog media and watsapp guys

  7. https://blog.torahmatzav.com/2013/05/eating-milchigs-on-shavous.html

The Mishna Verura (494 sk 12) says one of the reasons for eating Milchigs on Shavuos is because after Matan Torah, they couldn’t eat meat, because it was too time consuming.

They would need to shecht, remove the chailev , rinse ,salt and cook in a new pot.

    They chose instead milchig.

    What's pshat ?

Matan Torah was on Shabbos and couldn’t do all this because of issur Shabbos and not because of takes too much time
This question was answered by the Chofetz Chaim himself.

  9. Ridiculous no one is spitting in anyone’s face by voting for a different candidate. Everyone is entitled to vote for whomever they want to. And if “your” candidate loses so what, the winner is already planning to get reelected and will want your vote. There is no reason to worry about revenge unless the candidate that wins is a known anti semite like Zohran Mamdani the fellow running in ny city primaries for mayor

  10. Did Rav Kalmanowitz look at the math before giving his 'hadracha' Rav Slolmowitz and Rav Kalman Epstein looked into the shiduch crisis in depth and by having boys come back earlier will help. Can we have a reason for Rav kalamanowotz shitta? The other side have been quite clear about the reasoning.

    1. What math? Did rabbis slomowitz epstein ever see the math themselves?? That would be in Herculean effort to gather all that information how many older boys how many older girls who are no longer affiliated with any institutions! If they had that math they would share it with everybody since it would be so conclusive one way or another. This stab at the crisis was rather myopic and infantile, if we match years then we might minimize the gap which either exists or doesn't and regardless ignore any of the older girls or boys for that matter and sort of start on a new Fresh slate. Who exactly allowed them to just ignore and write off all those people that don't fit into their solution??

      Delete
    2. Did you read the letter?
Did you learn the mishna he quotes?
Did the math theorists look at data?

    4. This blog is one big mouthpiece for BMG. Why because they decided to waste everyone time with this silly adirei hatorah should Agudah, that has been doing this for decades not advertise? The whole adirei is one silly event run by Baal habatim (ceo) such a shallow event, against everything the litvishe yeshiva system stood for. Not one of Rav Aharon’s talmidim show up, besides Rav zukkerman.
