First of all there is no chiyuv to wear ticheles if one has lavan. It's an additional mitzvah but not a chiyuv. Second if one thinks that a pomelo is an esrog is he now mechayiv to also shake a pomelo? He's just a fool, not a chochom shehigiya lehora.
First of all, there is a chiyuv to wear lavan even if one has techeiles. (It's an additional mitzva i.e. chiyuv.) Second of all, there is no comparison to Esrog since we accepted the authority of Talmud Bavli even if someone was הגיע להוראה. BTW many yidden that are הגיע להוראה wear Murex Techeiles.
The YU murex " techalis" is a hoax. A Yungerman nephuew to R Belski made it a point to convince some to put it on. It's 100% a big HOAX that some feii into.
The murex people when asked why does the Ramban say the blood of the chillaxin is black like ink, and the murex blood is not, they will answer either Ramban make s mistake, or we don't have to be goris the Rambam
The murex people were not the first to deal with the question of that Rambam. The Radziner also had to answer it. His answer in itself was not controversial.(It isn't what you claim they say) The murex crowd gives the Radzyners answer and attribute it to him.
I don't wear the murex techilis and have no intentions of ever doing so but it seems like most of the questions on it here are coming from people who never heard from an intelligent learned person who supports wearing it. Their claims about what those who wear it think are mostly straw man arguments.
