- Lakewood parents have been charged in the murder of their infant daughter, Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.Ruben Santiago, 36, and Caitlin Gibson, 28, were charged with murder in connection with the death of their three-month-old, Billhimer said. At 7:20 p.m. on Monday, Lakewood Township Police responded to a residence on Pinehurst Drive for a report of a three-month-old infant having difficulty breathing, according to the prosecutor. There, officers found the baby unresponsive.

The Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office performed a post-mortem examination of the infant which determined that the cause of her death was blunt force trauma to the head causing fracturing and subdural hematoma, and the manner of death to be homicide, according to Billhimer.
