-Over 50  terrorists Killed and 100 injured by IDF bombings tonight in Gaza Jabalya camp

- Islamic Jihad fires three rockets drom Gaza at southern Israel, intercepted by IDF

 - A Shin Bet agent arrested during the Gaza war has confessed to being a Hamas double agent who actively deceived Israeli intelligence on the eve of the October 7 massacre, Channel 12 News reports. The agent revealed during interrogation that on the critical night of October 6-7, when the Shin Bet contacted him about emerging warning signs, he deliberately provided false reassurance: "There is no offensive preparation by Hamas, I know, I am updated." This deception came at a crucial moment when Hamas operatives were already mobilizing for the dawn attack that would kill over 1,200 Israelis.

- More details on how the attack to eliminate Muhammad Sinwar was carried out, turning the tunnel system there into a death trap for those staying there: 

In the attack, the Air Force used dozens of munitions, bunker-penetrating bombs. 

The attack was carried out similarly to the one in which Hassan Nasrallah was eliminated in Dahiyya in Beirut: an attack on all entrances and exits at the entrances of the underground complex, to prevent escape after the attack, if Sinwar were to manage to escape. 

The attack method combines collapse with penetrating bombs, with the aim that anyone who does not die at the beginning as a result of the impact and collapse will die later from suffocation (as Nasrallah may have died).

- Reports indicate Israel conducted a strike in Gaza underneath the European hospital, reportedly targeting Mahmoud Sinwar, using nine bunker buster bombs. Brother of Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar.

- Netanyahu says Israel is working on finding countries that will accept Gazan immigrants, adding, “I think more than 50% of Gazans will leave.”

- Witkoff spoke with families of hostages, his words implying that Trump is striving for a comprehensive deal: "The president will not accept anything less than everyone returning home. He will be restless until he achieves that goal. We saw it with the Houthis and if people don't get along with the United States. This is a message - do what we ask you to do, and things will get better”

- Netanyahu attacked the Biden administration in his meeting last night with soldiers wounded in the war, saying “The pressure from the previous American administration cost us dearly, and prevented us from completing the mission. Now things have changed. And we will destroy Hamas.”

- Trump envoy Witkoff to families of the hostages:  “When you fight among yourselves and fall apart as a society, you know who is watching? Hams. And so there is a need to unite as a society. I’ve seen intelligence that shows me it hurts you when you are not united as a society. “

- Freed American-Israeli hostage Edan Alexander will not  be flying to Qatar but spoke to US President Donald Trump over the phone on Tuesday in a call made on the phone of US Special Envoy to the Middle East Steve Witkoff, who arrived at the hospital to visit him. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu also spoke with him on the phone.

- IDF has been gearing up for a planned major offensive in the Gaza Strip, which officials said would be launched if no hostage deal is reached with Hamas by the end of US President Donald Trump’s visit to the region on May 16.

-A delegation of relatives of hostages are heading to Qatar to meet with US President Donald Trump and Qatari premier Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman al-Thani, Channel 12 news reports.

-Secret talks between Hamas, US and Qatar lead to Edan Alexander's release:

 The United States, in coordination with Qatar, agreed to push Israel to accept a months-long ceasefire and hostage exchange deal in return for the release of American-Israeli hostage Edan Alexander, Axios reports. The White House subsequently told Hamas that if Alexander were released, the US would pressure Israel to implement a 70- to 90-day ceasefire in exchange for the release of 10 hostages, during which negotiations for a final deal would be held, according to a Palestinian official quoted in the report. Hamas reached out to Bishara Bahbah, a Palestinian-American businessman and Trump supporter, to mediate talks with the US on the proposal, thus back channel was set up without Israel notified.
