Sometimes, the role of shtadlanus involves swallowing old hurts for the good of the klal, as unsatisfying as it might feel. Rabbi Shimon was forced into hiding because of his fierce criticism of the Roman government (Shabbos 33b), yet after coming out of the me’arah, the same Rabbi Shimon was sent to Rome to petition on behalf of his people (Meilah 17b). 5. Shame on AGUDAH and all those kissing up to Cuomo after all that he did to the orthodox jews and the thousands who died in nursing homes when he refused help from Trump

  6. Agudahs actions despicable

They targeted president Trump while he was in office and Cweibke attacked him out again by the convention in a keynote speech. This was after Trump helped yiddin in America Runashkin and others and gave money to Israel and after all that the Agudah elitists despised Trump and spoke out publicly against him.

Now they shamelessly sit together with the enemy a rotzeach and anti smite because they hope to get a few dollars

  7. So run that by me again please.... R shimon supported Rome after his release???? . And yes Rome was the same city but highly unlikely that it was the same Caesar as they kept on changing one killing another. If it would have been the same one he would not have came out alive.

    1. It wasn't the same Ceaser. Likely they went into the me'ara under Hadrian & came out after the great plague of 161 under Antoninus Pious.
After that plague the Romans were never as anti-jewish again, until the rise of Constantine
