- President Trump has announced a 100% tariff on all movies imported into the U.S. claiming that holywood and movie industry in America is dying a very fast death.

-Trump: REBUILD, AND OPEN ALCATRAZ! For too long, America has been plagued by vicious, violent, and repeat Criminal Offenders, the dregs of society, who will never contribute anything other than Misery and Suffering. When we were a more serious Nation, in times past, we did not hesitate to lock up the most dangerous criminals, and keep them far away from anyone they could harm. That's the way it's supposed to be. No longer will we tolerate these Serial Offenders who spread filth, bloodshed, and mayhem on our streets. That is why, today, I am directing the Bureau of Prisons, together with the Department of Justice, FBI, and Homeland Security, to reopen a substantially enlarged and rebuilt ALCATRAZ, to house America's most ruthless and violent Offenders.

- Printed in Israeli paper מבאזל ועד ארץ הקודש  a 26 point letter by Rav Shalom Kamenetzky shlita accounting the behind the scenes maneuvering of the letter written by his father Rav Shmuel Kamenetzky shlita to Rav Chaim Kanievsky ztl about eretz Hakodesh

Some of the points translated

-My Father Shlita was not satisfied with this and urged them the family of  reb Chaim to send the written decision to a trustworthy person trusted by the Kanievsky family and that he would see or bring the written decision to  my father Shlita without delaying the written decision in our hands, and the Chatzer of t reb chaim did not agree to this either.

We made all kinds of efforts to receive that written letter that confirmed the matters and wrote that 'a vote must be taken' but now the Chatzer of Reb Chaim insisted, and did not want to send

My Father Shlita, pleaded with them so much that they agreed to send the manuscript to Rabbi A. Yosef Stern, N.Y., and he brought a copy of that manuscript to  my father Shlita.
Indeed, there was a handwritten copy, but the words were not at all clear, and what they said should have been written there in his name, was not to say that that was what was written. Simply, the words were very unclear, even though we enlarged the copy with terrible magnifications, but we found nothing there
The disappointment of my father  Shlita, was terrible. I still remember the face he made when he saw the handwriting, and he certainly didn't believe that there were any trivial matters here

When asked,  why he didn't say anything, he expressed and said: After the things had already been published in Sha'ar Bas Rabim, in particular by the Mashbak of the Harav Eli' Brudny Shlita, he wouldn't want to do anything by him, the things would be revealed that the house of the late Reb Chaim z"l should not be trusted, and the entire chatzer there, including reb Chaim z"l, would not be disgraced. 1. I spoke to Rav Shalom shlita who said his father Harav Shmuel Kamenetsky holds to VOTE

    2. What everyone knows you can't trust the chatzeiros and that there's no clear directive psak from his father after the whole letter from Reb Chaim was played with games and inconclusive. Once it was publicized and poted on YWN Rav Shmuel decided to keep quiet not to make the house of Rav Chaim look bad and not trustworthy.

    1. Reb reuven kamintezky has no neemanus on this he works with eretz hakodesh

    2. Rav Shmuel has BH sons and grandchildren in Lakewood who can speak in his name. They didn't say anything.

As far as we know Rav Aaron Feldman shlita said over in front of thousands in BMG of what Rav Shmuels opinion is that he does not support voting for Eretz Hakodeah and has not retracted at all.
It would be Ehrlich if his nephew in Eretz Yisroel who is speaking in the video disclose that he works for the Degel Hatorah Party in Yerushalayim and is an ambassador too and should also be upfront about his involvement with eretz hakodesh.
He also didn't say that what he is saying is coming from Rav Shmuel he is giving over Rav Shmuel opinion but did not say he spoke directly to Reb Shmuel. So who is his source?

      Delete
    3. So 1:11, for the record, you are accusing Reb Reuven of lying ?

      Delete
    4. 1:19 - Your first point is pointless. Their not speaking up is not a proof of anything
Rav Feldman did not say in BMG anything directly from Reb Shmuel. Only that he "spoke with the Gabbai". Again, pointless

      No CV
But he had 2 months to put out this video, the timing is suspicious and he should have disclosed that he has negius that's what the Torah commands

You would be a fool to think Rav Feldman a zkan Rosh Hayeshiva would say something that's not factual or questionable in front of the biggest makom Torah in the world in front of thousands of talmidei chachomim.
Shame on you for accusing his judgement

    7. Anon 2:27 nope but he definitely has negius…

    8. Anon 2:47 - I guess the only logical solution is that fools are more likely to be right.

Anyway, I just voted. Boruch Hashem, I can have a hand in saving Yidden in Eretz Yisroel from the reform movement. When I will be asked, "Did you step up?" I won't be embarrassed.

    9. Rav Shmuel is the zkan RY.

    10. What's is a Zkan r"y?

      Delete
    11. Zkan RY means the oldest RY.
It comes from the term zkan haRebbes.
Another example of litvish leadership adopting chassidic practices.

  3. It's funny how all these last minute videos yet eretz hakodesh could not get Rav shmuel to personally state his opinion?

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The opponents of Eretz Hakodosh couldn't get Rav Shmuel to personally state his opinion either. But they have no problem believing he is on their side despite the counterevidence

      Delete
    2. Actually Rav Aaron Feldman and Rav Malkiel kotler personally drove down to meet with Rav Shmuel in Philadelphia and Rav Shmuel agreed with them that Rav Chaim did not support
Rav Aaron Feldman wrote this in his essay.

      Delete
    3. Unfortunately, Rav Shmuel is no longer verbal at this point in time. He can no longer issue any statement in either direction.

The article is a nothing-burger. True, the Chatzer should have done a better job, and Rav Shmuel would have liked a clearer answer, but nevertheless the answer Rav Chaim gave is SUFFICIENTLY clear that he supports voting for WZO.

      Delete
    4. Rav shmuel tool back the support per Rav Feldman

Regardless rav Chaim is no longer with us and Rav Dov Landau the manhig hador clearly stated his opinion why is He ignored by Eretz Hakodesh yet they continue bringing up Rav Chaim who is not alive

      Delete
    5. Interesting claim that Rav Shmuel is not verbal yet seems to be giving out long statements per r Yaakov Menken, R David Kushner and others . So who do we trust here

      Delete
    6. 1:36 - If thats the case, why didn't Rav Feldman say that in his BMG speech that he personally visited Reb Shmuel and heard it directly Mpi kodsho? Why did Rav Feldman only mention that he "spoke with the gabbai" ?

      Delete
    7. He was responding to rumors that reb shmuel was supporting so he called back to check if anything changed since his visit.
      Pretty straightforward

      Delete
  4. The lies and manipulation of the last minute campaign to vote is disgusting pathetic and embarrassing
Those who fool klal yisroel will have to pay up for it with a דין וחשבון
Ignoring a clear psak from the Moetzes gedolei Hatorah of America
    From Rav Dov Landau
Is a slap in the face to the leaders of our generation
Pulling out names of people who had no previous leadership or klal involvement to push votes is embarrassing the leaders and klal yisroel too.
This will not end well the brazenly bizuy talmidei chachomim

  5. Updated: The Real Story...

So many holes.... Event 8 - Reb Shmuel PROMISED he would not support.....but then he still wants to think about it ?!?!?

Event 12 - Why the need to "recruit" someone to call the chatzer? Couldn't Reb Shmuel call himself ?

Event 15 ,16 & 17 - The "household" agreed but the "chatzer" didn't agree? Who exactly is the household and who is the Chatzer?

See event 19 "Chatzer = Kanievsky family"

Event 21 Rav Chaims children ie his Chatzer

    So confusing.....

  6. I don't know who said what, but it's pretty apparent that the pro WZO campaign is the one that is more deceiving.
When the Vilna gaon spoke out against chassidus, it was blamed on the "chatzer" and not from him directly. These games are not new tactics.
For the Eretz Hakodesh to bombard us with Rabbis who were never part of society is reason enough to understand that they don't speak for us nor represent us.
I saw on a EH reps status, that he wonders if all those following the gedolim also follow them and don't have smart phones and social media. Such disrespect for the same people they want voting for them. At the end of the day it's a campaign to grab a few shekels and does nothing to shape yiddishkeit in the Medina in any way. They should just be honest and make it about money.

  7. Based on all claims and counterclaims about R’ Shmuel Kamestsky allegedly said, what makes the most sense as being true to me is what I was told by an Eretz Hakodesh activist that he told them that (1)on a personal level he supports or at very least does not oppose their efforts but (2)he is not willing to take on his responsibility being the Rav who is telling people to vote for them. (This activist does not claim to have heard that Rav Shmuel himself or from anyone who heard it directly from him. It’s pure hearsay.).

  12. Im not taking position in either controversy, but same obfuscation and "don't quote me" in this matter and in WZO matter and on supposed shidduch initiative for women.,

Come to think about it, those fancy four color printing jobs by a few tzedakot a few years ago featuring big pictures of Rav Chaim z"l putting a few shekel in big cardboard pushkas
Especially when we know that Rav Chaim gave his tzedakah collections to other litvish. Yeshivish tzedakot.

I actually checked the tax return for one of those tzedakot (the others didn't file tax returns) and saw the several million dollars were distributed by three "rabbis" with chassidic names located on14 Ave in Boro Park with Satmar names

I highly doubt Rav Chaim channeled his tzedakah funds through a chassidic organization when his power base was litvish, not Satmar which has their own power bases in Yerushalayim (not BB).
