-Hamas head Yahya Sinwar allegedly wants a ceasefire deal, CNN reported, citing Israeli sources familiar with the subject.
According to the CNN report, the Egyptian and Qatari mediators informed Israeli officials of Sinwar’s stance in the last several days, ahead of a hostage negotiation summit later toward the end of the second week of August.
- Hamas claims that they have been "keen to make the efforts of the mediators Egypt and Qatar successful to reach a ceasefire agreement and it had asked mediators to present a plan based upon past talks instead of engaging in new negotiations for a Gaza ceasefire deal.
-Hamas takes responsibility for the terror shooting attack earlier today in the Jordan Valley, in which an Israeli man was killed he was identified as Yonatan Deutsch HYD ,20, from Beit Shean who was to get married in 2 weeks,and another was moderately wounded. The atttack was a drive-by shooting near the Mechola Junction in the Jordan Valley. The victims, motorists, were driving on Route 90 highway when they were targeted from a passing vehicle.
