Township Committee meeting recap.
The meeting was virtual despite all covid restrictions lifted, committeeman Mike Delua was a no show. Deputy mayor Menashe Miller who is currently deployed said he would have not been able to attend if not for the virtual meeting. Interestingly, Miller made no public mention previously to resort to in person meetings when he is home in Lakewood. Members of the public have repeatedly asked for a hybrid system of in person meetings with the option of joining virtually.
The committee as usual ignored public comments about several issues such as, traffic in Lakewood or the daily gridlock, the not involving the community on big construction projects, lack of infrastructure and the condition of Mike Delia. The mayor did respond to a favorable comment about a drainage issue thanking the resident and a guardrail lawsuit on Cedarbridge Ave.
The committee tabled the ordnance to allow high rise buildings after conflicting comments from the fire commissioners and chiefs about the cost to tax payers. No traffic or quality of life issues were mentioned. The mayor asked that it be sent back to the fire bored of fire commissioners for clarification and abide by their recommendation next meeting May 18.
Committeeman Miller announced the upcoming memorial day parade, the mayor thanked chaverim for unlocking his daughters vehicle after a dog got locked inside by mistake. Anew road called Mikes Way will be named after firmer inspection dept head Mike Sacaamano. The meeting lasted a total of 16 minutes.

Another meeting that's a total embarrassment that we keeping on voting in these clowns. Too bad the committee does have a hearing at Roberts carnival, they would a be great source of entertainment.
ReplyDeleteHow many meetings so far that Delia missed entirely?
ReplyDeleteHe didn't call for at least the past 6 months, and before that he's been mentally absent. Our property taxes going to good use, filling air in an empty seat. Coles sees nothing wrong with it, he thinks it's great, he said if it was up to him he'd want Delia to run for another term. Delia is our modern day dead horse in the Senate.
DeleteOne of the perks of being a committeeman in Lakewood is that he still gets his 65.5K salary even though he hasn't showed up or done anything for that matter for the last 1+ years.
DeleteI would like to personally thank Lakewood's taxpayers for being a great bunch of fools!
Here's a Riddle, which job pays more than $55,000/yr plus benefits, and is only a parttime jobs to the extent you can have 2 or 3 other jobs along with it, has no defined responsibilities, no mandatory hours, unlimited vacation time, and you still get paid even if you didn't clock in?
ReplyDeleteAnswer: "Serving" on the Lakewood twp Government committee.
you dont need to look delia's record, the rest of them are good for nothings too
DeleteThey are going to build 15 story apartments along rt 70 these are just delay tactics to push off any objectors. It will be research apartments.
ReplyDeleteIt's a slow process first the township only approves the height, then the FD approves the safety aspects, next the planning board only approves the density, then the lic only approves the use change, then the zoning board only approves the parking variance, all this gets conditioned in some fake traffic study that gets done on yom kippur that falls out on a Saturday, so there no traffic. And every offical points a finger at the other boards blaming them.
DeleteWhich frum couple in their right mind wants to live in a high rise and be a prisoner in their apartment every Shabbos?
DeletePrisoner? There'll be a playground on the roof perfect for shabbos.
DeleteSmelling and breathing in the air pollution from the smoke stacks in the backyard that our township will get a letter from an expert that it is not harmful at all to humans and even little babies
ReplyDeleteThey will get a letter claiming its healthier if that's what it takes
DeleteWhy did bmg pull back last time from building 99 units for the research facility at the same location
ReplyDeleteBecause they were too busy with adirei hatorah
ReplyDeleteDoes anyone even know what adirei hatorah is and what the party is about? Is it instead of the tent event? Basically a way to raise a few more million?
