- New York moves to become first state banning natural gas hookups New York state leaders led by Democratic Gov. Kathy Hochul reached an agreement that natural gas hookups will be banned in small buildings beginning in 2025 and large buildings beginning in 2028,

- Changing of the times local Lakewood media publicizing a outpatient treatment facility in Lakewood targeted for the Jewish community for individuals with substance drug and alcohol abuse to overcome addiction. You would think those who need it would know about it and no need for all the publicity with politicians who previously supported legalizing Marijuana in Lakewood.

- Today at Evergreen supermarket free scoops of Mehadrin Ice cream from 12:00pm -5pm

- Yeshiva Meaivta Torah Temimah groundbreaking hanochas even hapina event this Sunday 3:20 pm at 1727 Lanes Mill Lakewood

-Admor M'Dinov R' Meir Leifer shlita will spend shabbos in the Brookhill neighborhood and will deliver a shiur in Pirkei Avos at B"M Shemen Lmincha

- Agudah of NJ calls on the community to reach out to Trenton for an increase in transportation funding for mandated students which will give more money to thr LSTA. The per-pupil amount for nonpublic transportation is $1,022.00  agudah says that Given the fact that legislation was enacted in 2003 with the Consumer Price Index figure, the amount each eligible student receives should be at least $1,300.00. Therefore, we are asking for an increase of at least $280.00 per pupil to a minimum of $1.300.00 in an attempt to get more transportation for our children. Truthfuly there is no student eligible for mandated busing who is not getting transportation. Secondly the LSTA rsised the price on non mandated courtesy to $260 per student will that price come down if there's a funding increase? The answer is most probably No. There was also no action alert to provide hazardous bussing for thousands of Lakewood kids who are getting charged by the LSTA even though it is too dangerous for them to walk to school.

 - Significant changes will happen on the Garden State Parkway between miles 80 and 83 as exits are renumbered and lanes and offramps are altered. The New Jersey Turnpike Authority, which also oversees the Parkway, put out the plan, asking for feedback from drivers. One of the biggest changes is that there will be a “Collector-Distributor roadway.” This is a few lanes in each direction, separated from the rest of the Parkway by a median. Drivers getting onto the Parkway will first be on this Collector-Distributor until either they get off at another Toms River stop or go on to the rest of the Parkway.

  2. I glad Ribboncutter-in-chief the honorable Raymond Coles was there, otherwise I'd question what does in this mess of a town that we paying $100,000 a year. Now he will certainly have my vote this coming election.

  3. There's no justification to go public with it even for Gelt$$$

  4. If the addiction center should treat those addicted to $$$$, that would be a real toieles for this town.

Even the Agudah can stop lobbying to enrich Roshei Moisdos and those that service them on our backs.

  5. Addiction center should treat politicians addicted to lying. Oh, there's no treatment for that.

  6. Since it wont be published on Matzav I am submitting my comment here. It was on a post about the Yated in EY edotorial about not going to the right wing protest. The article stated "The Israeli Yated is not in any way connected to the American Yated Ne’eman"

"The Israeli Yated is not in any way connected to the American Yated Ne’eman"

You didnt need to inform us of that

The American Yated has long ago strayed off the דרך הישר. Of the American Yated it can be said:
"אינו נמנה על קהלנו. לא משלנו. נקודה. נשללה ממנו האזרחות של בית ה', פג תוקף הדרכון"

    1. They advertised full page ads for Eretz Hkodesh after the gedolei Torah in the US came out against them.
And they also run ads for Headlines show

    2. When R' Feivel Cohen ZTL was niftar and the Yated barely covered it, someone said that it's a shame Rubashkin wasnt asked to be maspid because then it would have been on the full front page.

    3. I'm voluntarily signing up to be part of your אינו נמנה על קהלנו. לא משלנו. נקודה . What does the next part נשללה ממנו האזרחות של בית ה', פג תוקף הדרכון mean? What are the criteria you and they believe is required to be a "citizen" in the בית ה? Where can someone get his passport for that renewed?

  7. Marijuana isn't addictive, the rehab center have nothing to do with it.

And none of our politicians supported legalizing pot. They just didn't mount an (ineffective) opposition to it, according to the rules the ideologues of Lakewood have set.

    1. Lakewood politician was quoted as supportive of cannabis and amatiuuana it was only when rabbinic realized the potential danger that the township was forced to ban it. They were very hesitant and did not come out against it as other responsible towns in NJ.
But then they smile for the ribbon cutting photo op

    2. Opposing Decadence makes them an ideologue(irrespective whether marijuana is less than crucial other stuff)
      Got that.
      Try other denominations

      Devorim 4:⁶

Go into any consulate or exclusive boardroom (even of pervert leftists promoting every form of decadence),ask them which Jews they regard with respect
Those who stand up with rigor opposing them or they who take photos with them & barter for goodies?

      Want to wager?

  9. Marijuana fries your brain. You gotta be crazy to legalize it, unless you want to substitute the human brain with AI!

    3. Often you have to shrei & accomplish on our own

Post facto the manhigim agree retroactively & then all pretend that they instigated it though opposite of their original attitude

That's the way the system operates

  12. Whether attendance at this protest is right or wrong I do not know but it’s certainly a lot better than participating in the violent hafgonas of Peleg and other knaoish groups.

  13. There are mandated private school students not receiving a bus this year contrary to what hefkervelt posted. My son is one of them. I know of many others as well.

    1. Are they not getting aid in lieu or just no busing there's a big difference

      Delete
  14. My son was offered an aid in lieu application but I was told that if I ever drove him to another bus stop and put him on the bus I wasn't allowed to request aid in lieu.

    ReplyDelete
  15. And even if I got the aid in lieu it wouldn't be much help as the amount they pay is not enough to get anyone to drive him 3 miles to school each day. The amount of money they offer is a joke.

    1. But the whole lakewood is getting transportation with the money that is paid currently per student. How would the extra 200 make a difference.
It is not a funding issue

      Delete
  16. You are partly correct. The current laws are not fair to us private school parents. The BOE is not allowed to not provide a mandated public school child with a bus. They are required to locate a bus and aid in lieu is not an option. We should be treated equally and fairly. Our kids deserve to get to school on time every day without undue hardship to already maxed out parents. We should advocate for a change to the regulations. Transportation is not a religious issue it is an educational issue.

    1. Check-out your facts. If Baoae can't find a bus the parents get AIL. Most of private schools in Jackson are getting AIL. Send all your complaints to the LSTA
Yout talking points make no sense. And won't fly

      Delete
    2. Actually you need to check your facts. All mandated public school students get a bus not AIL. The LSTA doesn't address complaints with solutions.
