- Are Lakewood officials using the trick to hide behind their attorneys to push through agendas without transparency to the public?
Faa reports The Lakewood Township Committee and Industrial Commission have been quietly pushing forward a proposal to permit construction of 150 feet high rise buildings in a portion in the Township.
It appears that they may be using their attorneys to cover up concerns regarding fire safety and a budgetary impact. Even more concerning is that Mayor Ray Coles, who has discussed the specifics of the proposal with Township fire officials and therefore obviously has firsthand knowledge of the proposal, has even downplayed the proposal to the Lakewood News Network! see full story on FAAnews

  1. When the township has a meeting erev pesach is usually means they want to pull shtick or pass something quickly while the public is distracted
    Keep a close eye.

    1. Burn it with the Chametz

    2. PSA: The public chametz burnings do not burn everything that goes into their dumpsters. Come to them at 1pm and you will see them brimming with chametz. Which is not a problem for chametz. But for challah, that is not sufficient. The challah must be burned.
Either place them in the boxes for Sreifas Challah all over town, like outside Aisle 9 in Jackson. Or take a coal grill and make a fire with coal, and dump the challah inside. In that case, the grill will become treif. If you want to keep it, find a large can or metal baking tin and place it on top of the coals. After some hours, it should be burned to a crisp. Best if you cover most of the fire (not all) that the heat stays inside.

  4. Why the need to make new high schools ? There are several very good schools that have room to make additional classes if parents wanted to send there. Who says that a new school is going to be any better than an established existing school for many years ,that has a very good staff and a nice building . Doesn't make sense . People always think the grass is greener on the other side .

    1. Actually, there are way less girls without a school than what the fake news says . I also heard that There are 2 schools that could make more classes if there was demand.

  9. You’re going to ask if it’s so easy why don’t I open one. The answer is simple I have other businesses that are more profitable and don’t have time for a school.

  10. Something doesn't make sense, each year about 10 ppl in Lakewood try to open mesivtas, usually 3 or 4 succeed. And for high schools maybe a new one every 2 years, maybe we should instil in our girls a Tay've to become Rebbetzins

    1. Very simple. If I open a mesivta I can hire the best talented yungeleit who are willing to teach for very little pay. High school teachers are not. They can go to the general workforce. And there are new balbatishe high schools with well to do parent bodies that can afford to pay them better so all the schools have to keep raising salaries to compete or they will lose their teachers. Also the gvirim give their tzedakah money to Adirei Hatorah and Mir Yesushalayim and even to local mesivtas because it's for Torah. They give very little for girls schools . The costs to run elementary girls are much less than high school so there are constantly new elementary schools opening up. .

    2. Ladies don't open the schools. They don't have the money or capability to administrate them . The men need the taiva but there is no kovod or sipuk in it. In Lakewood most men who have high schools don't even go into the girls school buildings during school hours and it's a huge money drain .

  11. Bnos Bais Yaakov is a great school with great staff and a building that can accommodate 2 more classes. Also Rabbi Benders school can accommodate another class. And there us a new school gor Chasidishe heimishe type of girls than can accommodate another class. That is basically enough for all the girls without a school . No need for a new school.
