Trump: Monday’s Court Order in Utah(on congressional  redistricting) is absolutely Unconstitutional. How did such a wonderful Republican State like Utah, which I won in every Election, end up with so many Radical Left Judges? All Citizens of Utah should be outraged at their activist Judiciary, which wants to take away our Congressional advantage, and will do everything possible to do so. This incredible State sent four great Republicans to Congress, and we want to keep it that way. The Utah GOP has to STAY UNITED, and make sure their four terrific Republican Congressmen stay right where they are!

He had the privilege of being alive at the time and living in close enough proximity, with enough sechel to understand that he should go into the Chazon Ish.

  3. Whatever happened to the oversight committee on the LSTA
They unilaterally highjacked the government funded busing for mandated yeshiva students and now control over 40 million with no one watching overthem nor anyone to turn to when they don't reach out for complaints.
This is not legal as they are using tax dollars and no oversight.
Where are all the askanim who pushed the schools into doing this
    Where are the politicians

    1. Maybe the BOE will actually answer your questions. The BOE used to take care of the bussing and nobody was charged the extra $$ that LTSA charges taxpayers. Yes the monitors are saying no to Inzelbuch as they want the board members to act like representatives and run the BOE. We owe millions to the state and yes the taxpayers are on the hook for it. It is not sustainable. Taxpayers are drowning. We had good people running for the BOE but VAAD who represents self interests and power people said vote and maintain the status quo.

    2. Still waiting for a public list of who the vaad is and why they’re relevant.

Random posters telling us to vote with no name on it.

    1. Its not about moving the needle. Its about letting the Israeli government know that the American Charedim are with the Israeli Charedim.
Wouldn't that be an important piece of information for the Israeli government to know when the Israeli Charedim start shutting down the airport and this becomes international news?

You can bet your life and your share in the world to come that the above-mentioned Roshei Yeshiva are on the winning team. Always pick the team which you know will most certainly win. G-d, His Torah and His eternal promise to the Avos will definitely win. We're on the winning team.

      Delete
    4. How does anyone know if they are on the winning team? When it came to the WZO, Rabbi Brudny clearly did not think so about the others.
And it was quite clear that he was right.

  6. Aguda is part of Netanyahu coalition is it really a chidush they would be the American born shliach of the Zionists in Washington DC, he decides nothing! hes at best a shliach and plus the Likud says its the courts not us but refuse to pass legislation to protect the Torah learners from the Zionists.

  7. Dr. Leitner is a Modern Orthodox Talmud Chacham. He has served in the IDF. He lost a son fighting in Gaza. He isn't going to be convinced unless you show him halachic sources which justify anyone who happens to be enrolled in Yeshiva to shirk his responsibility to protect the country.

As is obvious to all, but admitted by few, we don't have any sources to justify our position.

    1. Got it, a person who is primarily modern and then he is orthodox, has his entire way of life justified. Nu, nu.

Wherever and however he chooses his lot, that is his business. The Roshei Yeshiva are on the winning team. We're on the winning team.

You've made it clear which team you're on.

    2. We have no responsibility to protect a country that tries at every possible juncture to destroy our core values. We have no responsibility to give up our yahaydus for anyone.
You denying that that is the reality of the facts is not justified, and you know that but refused to admit it.

Only if you predetermined that every Jewish (male) must defend this entity even in suboptimal immoral environment, just because of their skewed references
Sympathy aside,we personally widh to start a semi-jewish seashore beach country in the Carribean. There will be lots of Israeli culture there.Even funding for religious services.
If any problems happen with neighboring islands, how are you going to outrageously avoid enrolling in our defense corp.? Especially when/if there are casualties?

    6. Rav Meiselman is discredited by his family.
His (great)uncle who was another gadol would say opposite. In the 1940s he would have been considered an Etzelnik (probably was).

As for a Caribbean island, hurricanes, expensive, would attract undesirable dressing, and populated by undesirable residents.

    7. @1137 Rabbi Meiselman is invited to write a teshuva explaining his position.

@1153 Anyone living in that Island should certainly defend the Jews living there. Anyone else, even foreigners, should also defend them unless it is determined that those living in that Island are m'abed atzmam lidaas.

& What if they were there first, before the scheme was concocted?
What if they had a prior claim to that island, before the adventurers came like a protection racket to protect them?
What if they suspect the new bosses & their corporate cronies are-partly at least-culpable for the continuing bad situation, but won't brook anybody else to run the island differently?

    1. How is being worse make that better? This is a stupid argument that is used for so many initiatives that erode our yiddishkeit. But Lakewood today does not know what authentic yiddishkeit is. The new yardstick is "but it's not a befurash aveira in shulchan aruch". Daas torah is only good when it agrees with me.

There isnt any english as it would be very difficult for any yungertman to open a mesivta if they needed to also taek care and pay the english teachers etc. If you look in monsey or passaic where there is english for mesivta the boys are healtier and wwll balanced. I actually feel bad for the average mesivta boy who has to 'learn' all day and no english brreak. Yes there ar ealeph bochurim who can learn all day but the average bachur cant do it
